$500,000 Abandoned Mercedes Barn Find Restoration!

We travelled to Hungary to check out the team of restoration experts at Motor Classic, taking abandoned Mercedes-Benz barn finds and restoring them into priceless classics.
These vehicles were once some of the finest you could find on the road, before they were left to gather dust across Europe.
The team from Tatabánya have become established in the restoration world and we had to come and see a start-to-finish process first hand! We got to drive a Mercedes 280 SE that had been converted into a gorgeous masterpiece.
Thanks to the @motorclassichungary team for showing us around the workshop and letting us see first-hand how these beauties are renovated!

I know this company many years. When I was working for a German waste recycling company as a design engineer, the owner of that company was collecting old timer cars (German … British etc…) he said this Hungarian company is the best in restoration (he had an Excalibur restored by this company… ) well done Hungarian engineers! 😊

The way the door shut was like a bank vault, the shut lines are incredible for such an old car, testament to the original engineering by Mercedes even though they didn't have the latest production techniques we have today. So much style and panache, looks particularly chic in silver with all that glistening chrome. Fascinating behind the scenes video, thank you.

Please, shut up dude! It's not Mercedes Benz business to "appreciate" some guys, who are making way too much money with car restorations in Hungary. By the way: why on earth should "the best car restoration" should be in Hungary? This is bullshit. The best companies for Mercedes-Benz restorations certainly AREN'T in Eastern Europe! For example, here in Germany are a lot of companies, which have much more experience and history in restoring 300 SLs and 280 SELs. Germany is the country where these cars were originally engineered, have been made and where today still is the most know how for body and engine restorations for 300SLs and all the other fantastic 50's, 60's and 70's Mercedes-Benz models. You are so naive, dude. 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂🤣🤣

Kb. 3 km-re lakom a műhelytől, és így még nem láttam, csak kívülről. Fura hogy egy amerikai hölgy videójából szembesültem hogy milyen nagy munkát végeznek az Urak :) azt tudtam hogy régi autókat újítanak fel, de azt hogy ilyen precíz és aprólékos munkával nem gondoltam.
