A Franklin Electric Pumptec unit, a Coyote 1PH230V, or a Cycle Stop pump protector will work for your dry run/overload protection, a float switch to manage your water level will help you out. Also have you considered putting the bladder tank and pressure switch in the pumphouse back in the circuit, and run the dole valve between the bladder tank and your reservoir tank? That, there's no concern about running your well pump too long with inadequate flow. You'll restrict your flow to what's needed, but the pump is managed by the pressure switch, and can flow plenty of water to cool it down. Plus, the the pump will shut off and have the opportunity to cool off (most pumps aren't rated for 100% duty cycle). You could also use a bigger bladder tank with a higher drawdown if you'd rather make the well pump cycle longer. As example, a Well X Trol WX202 has a drawdown of 6.2 gallons using a 30/50PSI pressure switch. Would probably take about a minute to fill, but then would take about 8 minutes to empty with your dole valve

Just curious as to the cost of the entire system and an estimate of what it would cost to have one installed?

Well that's pretty slick! Just gotta make sure you don't send the door knob through the tank 😂

Interesting setup. I've been thinking about something similar. Just curious, did you consider a surflo demand pump for the house instead of the shallow well pump? Wondering which would be more durable.

Not sure of you're talking about the Shurflo pumps made by Pentair? Only time I've ever seen those used is on a boat or RV and they're 12-24v. No way would they supply enough GPM for a house. If you're talking about something like a booster pump... I don't think it's worth it. They're expensive and the fancy VFD ones just aren't worth the price especially since more electronics - more issues. I had to replace the first harbor freight pump when a leaky toilet ran the tank dry and I didn't have any low water protection set up. The second pump I was able to up the pressure to 40/60 PSI no problem. I have the CSV set to try to maintain 55ish PSI. Works really well. Only problem with the HF pump is it's pretty loud.

How deep is your well? And if it’s only producing 1 gallon a minute how long does it take to fill up your tank? I’m going to do a similar set up and try and add a sand point well for more water.

Would you mind me asking you questions about setting up my water tank
