I bought a Saddlemen in 2021,from the time I installed it till the time i retired it,it was like sitting on a 4×4. I went with La Pera and honestly couldn't be happier.

Yeah. I think it’s a 50/50 chance to have one that is comfortable and some take many miles to break in. My last one was horrible to start but I kept listening to the reviews that it would eventually break in. And it did. This one was great out of the box. La para is a good seat but not build for the taller rider (or so I hear). Glad you have yours nailed down bud.

Just got mine and it sucks! It’s hard as a rock and my ass was hurting and numb after 20 miles

I'm seriously considering a 2024 Road Glide. Have a Road sofa with backrest on my 2021 and love the seat. I'm very disappointed to learn that the Road Sofa for a 2024 won't work with rear saddlebag crash guards. That is a huge mistake on your part in designing the seat.

Gotta tell ya, I just bought a 2023 Street Glide CVO and have had it for 2 months now. I decided I wanted a comfortable seat that still looked good AND I could add the driver backrest. I ordered the Road Sofa. This is when I started having 2nd thoughts. You see, it was then that I decided to read tons of reviews of other seats and the Road Sofa. Everywhere I read there were a few great comments but tons more were that flat out the seat was hard as a rock and took a year or more to break in. This had me worried so much that I thought about just canceling the order. I live very close to the Corbin seat place here in Hollister and actually thought about one of those but heard a lot of the same, very hard and long break in time. I got my Road Sofa and was very impressed with how well it looked and was made, I pushed down on it with my hands and it was hard as a rock. I installed it anyway. and to my SURPRISE it felt just like you are describing. Immediately it felt stiff yet soft. It really was comfortable right outta the box, that said it gives me the impression of a really nice piece of leather furniture that will only get better with age. Thanks for the video

Right with you in that. When I had my 21 SG, ordered a mustang because they looked so pillowy. Got it on the bike and I couldn’t believe how close to the tank it put me and it was so wide that I’m still bow legged. I was able to return (Amazon) and picked the road sofa. It took a while to break in but eventually was pretty good. But this one out of the box was spot on. Thank you for the comment and for watching my video. Enjoy the bike!

Thanks David! I appreciate that you have chosen to watch and subscribe. Thank you again for the support. You can’t go wrong with quality. Although they are a little pricey (as everything with Harley) they are well worth it if you intend on long rides. Stay safe!

I think you will be very happy with the seat. The choices on the stitching make it great for customizing the motorcycle and you can stay in the saddle longer. Just preparing for a 500 mile day today, myself. Stay safe.

Just bought one of these today from the Harley dealer. Taking it back tomorrow. The stitching makes my butt go numb. Going to put a Mustang on my Road Glide.

My last one was pretty hard for about 1500 miles before it softened up. This thing was perfect from the get go. Good luck with your mustang.

My last Road Sofa took a while to break in too, but this one was pretty good from the start. I think Saddlemen is always upgrading their processes and materials thanks for watching.

Hey MJ. thanks for the comment and watching the video. Please watch the "New Saddlemen Road Sofa Install......" video for the detail look of the seat and how it looks on the bike. Its also in the "multiple personalities" video. I was mainly trying to relay to the viewer the comfort level of the seat at 500 miles, when it usually takes a lot longer to break in. thanks again.

@@smallfry0764 I’ve got almost 900 miles on this seat after this weekend and the only reason I was needing to get off was because it was so hot here in Dallas that I was sweating. This seat will be great for heading out on long runs. You’re going to love it.
