When I was buying a new sib I looked at this one but thought it would maybe get to hot on a sunny day with it being black, my logic could be wrong and I stay just across the water from arran in Ayrshire great to see your videos up my way

It does get warm in the sun, it would only be an issue of you left it out of the water inflated or were not there to regulate the pressure

Yeah I did take this into consideration when designing the Hydrus but with the UK summers not being anywhere near like the med heat It's never really an issue. If it's a hot day you simply let out a tad of air with a few taps on the nozzles 🙂

Cavitation plate should be horizontal in line with the boat hull. There will be trim notches on the outboard. Might also be engine is sitting too low on transom.maybe that's why you are getting so much spray at the rear? Our Avon 3.15 with a yamaha malta 3.5hp from 1994 will plane with 2 aboard and is less spectacular than this. Should your big boat have engine failure, lashing the tender alongside on the quarter with bowline, stern line and a spring will get you out of trouble. Big boat will steer and Dinghy provides the power. Well done on the yacht! "Better drowned than duffers, if not duffers, won't drown"

It’s a fair point. We’ve found after having it for longer that when taking it out in hotter conditions it does absorb heat, but you can just let out air in increments over time as it expands. Fortunately most of the adventures we have had on this were in Scotland, so it wasn’t an issue we encountered very much, but this may have been an oversight in our analysis 🌥🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
