500 MJ Hulltank Python VS Missile Rack De Lance | Elite Dangerous PvP

Fighting a missile rack Fdl with my old hulltank Python...It's one of those fights that you need to take your time and distance if you want to make it with your hardpoints alive.Work your regen and dont let your shield drop.But sometimes going risky makes the fight more tense and fun,win or lose...for both sides. So I thought if i go down i go with style!

Give it a go,fixed weapons need different approach and adjusting your flying a lot in comparison with gimbaled...But like all things,practice is essential Cmdr☑️O>

Star In VegA flying close to him was actually a good move 🙂 it was a cooking fight but the result have shown that you made the good decisions at the end ! I took a break from Elite last weeks, but will defo add new content soon or later 😉 O7

I agree about close flying and moving so he lose the lock...but generally it was the wrong approach lol. I do a lot of brakes in elite my friend,take your time and come back full of energy to fly and explore☑️O>

I'm pretty sure you're already aware of this, but plasma accelerators have an experimental effect available (via engineering) called "Target Lock Breaker." It does exactly what it sounds like it would do.

I think i have a TLB in this fight,but it ain't enough with the new cooldown to brake his lock all the time. Ain't easy in a Python either way CMDR ☑️

In this particular fight, all you needed was one ECM. If you had two, you could fire them forever and basically cancel all of the missiles. Not a single one would have gotten you.

Gg. We have done some limited testing seems If the weapons are targeted by missiles it makes no difference whether deployed or retracted they get damaged the same.

Thank you Cmdr Pozzo...i started doing this 3 years ago as an instinct move to protect my hardpoints. I think it generally doesn't work but i can't swear that sometimes doesn't save you a tad of DMG. Either way i like to do it,i find this move realistic😁.Usually and in the video i try to take the missiles in specific places of my ship if possible😄😄😄.O>

Star In VegA might be effective against splash damage I.e if opponent just targets ship. Need to try that.

Greetings Cmdr...Missiles do dmg to the shield, that's why shields have the explosive resistance attribute.I had a 500 Mj shield with good resistances,but he had 4 missiles firing and i played opened pips sometimes.For sure it's better for module sniping but they do DMG to shields too.He had only one huge multicannon and i had a chaff too, so waiting my shield to drop firing only the MC probably would never happpen ☑️

Thank you and appreciate the feedback CMDR. I have a really wide range of what I like in music genres and I always choose my music according to my taste and what i believe is proper for the fight. It's purely subjective either way...whatever song people hear,some will like it and some don't, it's normal. O>
