Great video. When I watched it yesterday, a panel was open to the right of the video. That panel listed all the sentences, plus the time in minutes for each frame. For example, if I wanted to jump to sentence #50, I clicked on that. Today I can't see that panel. How do I activate it please? Thanks

Sorry, FrenchPod101, people in France never speak this way conversationally -- inverting the question for example is very, very formal, you'll never hear anyone speaking that way. Also, 99% of the time, the French use "on" instead of "nous". Watch channels like Francais avec Nelly or Alexandre Chambure to learn real spoken French. I am a native French speaker and don't know either of these two people I mentioned, but I've come across their channels and they are the real deal and far more interesting than this.

23:32 Wouldn't this be "Je suis chez moi"? If not, will you please clarify? Thank you ♥
@atharvsinghrajput3 жыл бұрын
It’s because je suis chez moi is a translation of I’m at my place whereas je suis à la maison is the correct sentence .je suis is I am and à la means at and maison means home or house
@sylvie80883 жыл бұрын
The two onces are équivalent for us. We say as well "Je suis à la maison" or "Je suis chez moi". If you want to dig deeper, "je suis à maison", the house/flat can be yours or not. The second one brings a small emphasis on the fact that is "my personal location" (no matter if you rent it or own it, it means more "home"). Indeed, most of French people don't care about this and use the two both as same same.

Many mistakes in these phrases. Why you teaching people incorrect and why so many grammatical errors. Go and check your work properly before you make a video like this. This was obviously done by a non native speaker. In French, it is not correct to say "J'ai besoin aller à la banque." The correct phrase is "J'ai besoin d'aller à la banque." The "d'" is necessary to correctly link "avoir besoin" with the infinitive verb "aller." Terribly put together. There are many more mistakes. Comment ça va is not how are things, it's how are you. Hundreds of small mistakes. This person should go back to school and learn again.
