I have a 7 year tequila and it's pretty special. Don't know that I'd pay $500 for one but maybe if it was straight from the barrel and cask strength like mine. Mine was also sold way below a market price because the distillery owner hooked me up.

A couple years ago I bought a bottle of Tears of Llorona for $270 based on your review. Fantastic, and I loved it. Convince me to buy this for $500. I don't think you can. Also; why is the Statue of Liberty on the box?
@CuriosityPublicАй бұрын
yeah - its a tough price point. It is crazy good, but also crazy expensive. Hence *only* a 2. no clue about the box design!
@blakedesmondАй бұрын
Wish it was cheaper. If it was more affordable I’d buy. I prefer a spirit with great mouth feel with flavor that sticks to your pallet.
@haozheng471Ай бұрын
How much can bring you happiness now the days, I will get two. By the way I get four tears of llorona after watch your show few years ago😊

Dutch’s score should have been at least the same as the others. He pushed so hard for the other two to change their scores.

Nice review! I have a standard G4 extra Anejo that’s awesome! This one sounds awesome too! All my Hispanic friends say it’s not pronounced G4 but something like Hay Quattro? What’s it called in Mexico? Just Tequila?

I’m sure it’s wonderful but I’m going to get two Tears of LLorona over this any day of the week.

Thanks for always making such great videos! One suggestion; Can you always share where you bought the bottle from? When I search online, I see these for like $900+. And I think, "Where did they buy this at for $500?"
@DzigaJerkovАй бұрын
$500 is the msrp. Total Wine had them for $550 but of course sold out within a week. (This was about month ago or so. I’m sure most places that priced it around $500 sold out a month ago

I had the chance to get this for $450 but decided that the ROI was better spent on resupplying my Tears and Rey Sol for $80 more.
@willchinleeАй бұрын
saw this at retail and passed too. To the point about comparing to a 25 yr whisky. I look at this as a 7 yr aged spirit. Hard to ask for that price for anything with such a young aging.

+~10 years for the agave maturation. But still high for sure

So it's not the best ever for Aroma? But they bump up to a 10? How can you say that, a 10 is the best you have ever experienced and nothing else beats it
@MrA.L.KАй бұрын
At $500 it is a passsss....except I really want one. hahahahahaha. If I win in Vegas next week I am getting one. lol
@AD24873Ай бұрын
Buying one doesn't mean it is a 'value'. You can be really into something and be objective in relation to others. No $500 spirit should be anything other than a 0. Leave the bonus points for actual value drinks.
@cy156Ай бұрын
Sorry G4 Tears is still $300 for a liter!
@longformconversationsАй бұрын
probably should be 21 to watch this and yet you censor why lol
@uduran9907Ай бұрын
I feel that XA tequilas are dangerously close to drinking whiskey\bourbon and does not justify the price. I'm better served with the high proof blancos. G4 is still at the top of my list.
@drgallupАй бұрын
Not spending $500 on anything.
@RayDiggyАй бұрын
Don't justify the cost with "well, it took this long for this and this long for that." A price tag of almost $500 is absolutely unacceptable and showcases the greed of the pipeline and the predatory tactics they use to take advantage of people's fomo. Well somebody will pay it, and that's why prices continue to soar. We need to vote with our wallets but some people just can't help themselves.
@PanchoKnivesForeverАй бұрын
I could see you guys rating this release a diamond, if… A tequilero would just allow their agave to ripen well past just 6-8 years of growth like they used to back in the day. Sugar yields would be higher. A richer depth of flavor and complexity would come through. Only if the tequila industry didn’t prioritize meeting industrial levels of demand and actually honored traditional values like they say they do…. Alas, extra añejos from back in the day are likely the diamond worthy releases y’all are looking for, as they were from an era of much riper, sweeter agave…
@mistermetaverse7267Ай бұрын
Boys no KAP - if you say it's worth it if you have the money, it is DEFINITELY worth it if you DON'T. Sounds like a 4-5 to me. I mean what's $200 more than Tears anyway right? ;)
@mistermetaverse7267Ай бұрын

Hell no. No msrp tequila at >$500 in my house ever. I'm sure it is great, but I'll take two tears of llorona 1 ltr's and a tequila ocho just to get to the $500 mark.
@aaabbbccc543Ай бұрын
tequila is soo over priced.... you can buy a bottle of 25 year scotch for the same price as this tequila bottle
@pickleeater3102Ай бұрын
@@aaabbbccc543 barley grows a lot faster than the agave plant. I agree with you to a certain degree, but also see the flipside of growing agave vs a grain.
