The toyota highlux pick up worked great stock by itself i had an 1981 high rider with 225x75x15 Cooper weather masters all 5 and never even slowed it down in fact winter in 2wd i was parking it ontop of snowpiles heaped up with a cat 988 loaderthe worst thing i did was put 38s on it .
@TheOnlyBlackInMeWasWillieBrown Жыл бұрын
I know it's sounds odd, but the open diffs and lack of power makes it hard to get them stuck.

@@TheOnlyBlackInMeWasWillieBrown I know mine would never even bog out as long as I kept the original wheels on it of coarse those were Uniroyal Desert Duelers and they were awesome but alas they went out of style and supply so I got some Weather masters from cooper tire.and they really worked great . The patigonias I got with the truck in 38's sucked so bad zero traction made the whole truck skate in circles and couldn't hold dry roads either and forget mud and snow and skidder trails nope stocker it would co any and everywhere

Why not roll the snow down with several forward and backwards passes especially in the middle of your tracks to clear the way for the diffs?
@FlexRocksRollovers Жыл бұрын
It was about 4 feet deep and wouldn’t compact. The key on this kind of snow is trying to stay on top of it. Once you break through, you’re not moving anymore

I'm guessing you bought e rated tires and I assume the sidewall is too stiff for that lightweight truck in most scenarios, I think you should have went with a 35 12.5 15, c rated and actually been able to air down. And I wish more new tire sizes came in less heavy duty ratings
