My first car in High School was a Pace Car. Bought it in October '81 and kept it for nearly 30 years. Back then, everyone was into Camaros and Trans Ams. It was just before the Fox Body craze took off with the '82 GT. Seeing all these Pace Cars being revived on KZbin warms my heart. These cars are finally getting the love they deserve, especially with these Coyote swaps. Great work in keeping these gems from '79 going.

Had three 1966 Mustang. Now I have a black 84 Mustang with 26.000 miles on it. 4 speed. But it's only pushing 210 hp lo it's a nice ride on Sunday.

Elegance through tasteful simplicity. My first vehicle was a 1962 big block Ford pickup truck, my second vehicle was a 1979 notchback Mustang. I graduated high school in 1980 and in 1985 purchased a used '82 GT Mustang that was used just for drag racing until I purchased it. I was 23 years old and owned and drove a modified GT Mustang, life was good and I regularly ate the new '83 through '89 GTs and IROCs for lunch. Life was good. Great content, great cars, thank you

I miss my 79 notchback, I had a .030 over 140 cid w/turbo running 20 psi boost it was a 5.0 eater in its day. When I sold it the buyer wrecked it within 1 week 😩

My coyote swap has been done for over 4 years there's not one drop of oil on my garage floor ... most small block Fords have oil leaking problems because of improper crankcase evacuation systems

Coyotes are little more pricey but when you consider how capable it is both na and the ability to make big power with boost reliability it's really not that bad. Most people only consider peak power and what et will it run. On a street car there is alot more to consider than just that. It makes it smooth and reliable and mpg will be very good because even in the new heavier mustangs they get as good or better mpg than a stock fox does with an old 5.0. Put that coyote in an old fox that is lighter (even lighter with the coyote which is lighter than an old all iron 5.0) the mpg would be even better. I think coyote is the way to go for a fox. To get a small block Ford up to par performance wise it's gonna take more money than what a coyote costs to do so. Even the stupid overdone ls bs is gonna take some work to get up to coyote standards. Richard holdner did a test with a trickflow hci Windsor 302 against a gen 1 coyote both having headers on them they made similar power to 4500 rpm then the coyote walked away on the power graph and even before that the coyote was making more just not much more it was close. The guys talking about cost being high aren't truly understanding how badass the coyote is. Back in the day getting big power came with driveability quirks as well as reliability concerns as well as a hit on mpg and stuff like that but doing this not only do you double the output of a stock 302 you lose weight, have better drivability and reliability AND better mpg to boot. It's crazy you can have all that. Not to mention the ability to make alot more power if you wanna go for forced induction. With all things considered the coyote is a great great option for a fox. Not to mention you get to keep it a "5.0".
