500HP ML63 AMG Gets More Upgrades!

In this video I discuss all the recent upgrades I've done to my 2007 ML63 AMG.
Let me know if you guys have questions! I might make a separate video on how to remove the ECU since there doesn't seem to be one online for this vehicle year/model.

At least they make those headers for you dude. My 2000 w163 ML55, the Mother of all crossover super cars… got shafted. what you got off the assembly is all you’re ever gonna get for them. I love my ML55, she has a swagger, and I am noticing around the neighborhood a lot of cars with Red calipers. What a vision they had when designing ever single piece of her was done with extreme love and vision of what is gonna make her what she is. I love all of the ML lines. Especially the AMG ML’s. They are made to run well over 120-140 MPH running in and out of traffic, racing Porche Chayennes ( over weighted ww1 handling unarmored vehicle), and leaving them in the dust.

Hey buddy, I got my resonators cut out today, replaced with 3 inch pipe just like yours. Definitely not as loud as I expected (was hoping for bit more noise). The crackles/rumbles when revving in neutral is noticable for sure.

All the mods I want to do on my 07! I think the tune is giving you that exhaust note because I did the same res delete to mine and, while the sound is more aggressive, isn't quite as noticeable as yours. I also need to paint my calipers but plan to leave the wheels stock. Yours really look like the stock, but do have a slightly more modern look! Nicely done!!

Awesome, and thanks! I think you’re right about the tune giving the extra exhaust noise, I did the resonator delete before the tune and didn’t notice as much crackles/pops before

The car looks amazing bro, I think the black on black is the best look for this car! I actually just threw on some H&R 25mm spacers on my rear with the stock 20's yesterday. It makes it look so much better. I'm blacking out my wheels myself this weekend with gloss black metallic hyperdip. I like the look too of OEM+ modified too. The exhaust sounds great, I was looking into adding some vales of some sort. My dream setup for the car would be a meisterschaft exhaust with valves. Def need to do a tune as well soon.

Thanks! Got any pics with the spacers? I might do a small spacer just for a more aggressive stance too...and nice! The hyperdip seems to work well from your other video. A valved exhaust would be amazing, definitely a good option if you can find something in budget!

@@monumentauto I'll see if I can post up a video once its completed. The H&R spacers are very good quality and hardware. I think 25mm is perfect for the rear, it really makes the back look even wider.

@@philipsgarage I painted my spokes in DYC's obsidian black metallic and it came out more matte than I was expecting. Is the gloss black hyper dip DYC came out with the one you're using? I'm thinking to re-do mine. Edit: just saw your emblems video lol. Will wait to see how your wheels come out 😉

I have an 07 with Matt Green paint, no wrap. It takes it to the highest level. If your gonna drop any more money get a unique paint on her. You'll never regret it.

Subbed! Does weistec also have a tcu? Did you look into transmission tuning -- why or why not? Also, will it pass emissions tuned or does it have to be reflashed to stock?

Don’t think Weistec offers a TCU tune for the 722.9 trans but they have an upgraded torque converter and rebuild kit that I didn’t need with only a stage 1 ECU tune. The stage 1 tune will pass emissions and has a carb ID now required for California tunes.

When you painted your rear calipers did you use high temp decal for the AMG? and if you did how did you get them?

Yes I did! I just found some high temp decals on eBay and they’ve worked well so far, no issues

Wheels were $1500 refinished on eBay, and tires brand new were $1,075 from tire rack 275/40R-21 MICHELIN PREMIER LTX XL

You need to have some tuner friends to hook you tuning it, like the weilding the exhaust, doesnt look to good

What is the current mileage on your 07' ml63 at the moment? I'm just wondering if its worth doing an ecu tune on a fairly high mileage ml63 or not. Thanks!

I think if maintenance has been pretty good and the engine is doing well then you shouldn’t have an issue. These stage 1 tunes aren’t all that aggressive. Putting a supercharger on is another story…

Do you mean how to increase your horsepower? Google your engine m273 and search for best upgrades. Seems like camshafts, Intake, exhaust, and tune

It’s been good! No new issues have come up, and gas mileage is actually better w the tune it seems. I hit 19mpg average on a recent trip which I’d never gotten before.

Thank you! Found some decent Michelin 275/40/R21 when I switched to 21” rims. I would’ve gone 295 but they were a good amount more expensive.

Did you get any improvement on the MPGs after the tune?

It did improve slightly but I also switched to 275 tires instead of 295 which helps fuel economy so I’m not sure which one caused it (or both).

@@weneakhborzable I’ve averaged about 16mpg over the last 2,500mi but I do mostly back road driving to work, average speed has been 29mph. If you do highway driving you could probably average 17+ mpg
