Booking this cruise ship on May 2024, first time in Celestyal (7 nights cruise from Piraeus Athens) previous night also in Athens....I love small ships, renovations seems to be good!!! Love Bottom! We'll be watching the Christmas one soon! The jacket is years old, from Zara. The tie was a cheap one I bought online because I wanted a brown tie.

That ship used to be originally the ryndam from holland America. Was the pacific aria for a while here in Australia then sat unused for ages during and after the pandemic

Good to hear you enjoyed the videos. There was quite a mix, mainly small groups of different European nations (mainly Eastern Europe),some North Americans and a lot of Greek. English was the primary/default language, although announcements were in several.

Can you tell more about the restaurants on the ship? Which are complimentary, which are specialty? In the last restaurant where you were some parts of the menu are complimentary and some are extra cost? I understand the Taverna is the buffet? Where a reservation is needed? We plan to cruise on this ship next year. This is "new" ship and there is not much videos about it. You are one of the first.

Hi, it wasn't really straightforward when we boarded, but this is what we worked out on our cruise: Because we were in a 'suite', we had access to two speciality restaurants (The Smoked Olive and Pink Moon) for all our meals, but on the standard menu. There are some additional cost options on the standard menu, but we didn't try them. We always ate in The Smoked Olive and it appeared that if passengers were dining the speciality menu, they were always sat across the other side of the restaurant and not near us. No dining time was provided and no booking was necessary for any of our meals. We just turned up. Yes, the Taverna is the buffet and is excellent.

Wish we'd asked what the wine was, but we didn't 😒 Lots of Greek food though. They must have had literally buckets of Greek yoghurt on board!

You’ve got to laugh at Kirstie “snacks” She loves her grub lol. Those MDR upgrade prices are incredibly pricey. Cruise lines all going along this route now.
