Wow that sounded really dangerous. Right as he shoots the steel, you can hear the bullet ricochet and fly right past them. Imagine if that bullet would have ricocheted back after he shot it and hit him right in the face.. not good man. 1- What is the distance to the target ? 2- Thanks for sharing that we are safe in a 1" armored vehicle at that distance .. but what if we get a shot at a closer range ? Will we still be safe ? 3- for those who dont understand and have made multiple comments .. the ricochet is not from the projectile after hitting the target .. its from the sleeve being ejected because you are not using a single shot rifle anymore ( that you need to manually remove the empty cassing from one its shot). The likely hood of being injured from such a ricochet are very slim by design ( unless the manufacture is a dummy). But i still agree with them ; you need to wear protective gear if you are smart.

PPE is great to muffle the loud noise and eye wear is in place only to prevent hot brass or partially burnt powder [blow back] from striking the eyes. If anyone thinks PPE is going to save them from a catastrophic failure in breech and/or barrel, or from a ricochet on a hardened target, they would be mistaken. In your thoughts the man could suffer from a serious wound, but thankfully he was wearing his hearing protection, eye protection and steel toed boots.

I love watching 50bmg vs whatever target and this channel has several and first thing noticed, the ricochet then scrolled down to read comments if people blew up like I did and lol sure enough almost all about that ricochet but all jokes aside that is deadly and will kill you so I’d definitely advise to angle the plates downward instead of straight up and down just like you would shooting any metal plates with any firearm. Still a cool channel and interesting to see what these guns can do so 👍🏻

Having it at 90 degree angle vs tilted angle will make MORE of a difference than at having it at the fixed position vs non-fixed position. The reason why it simply doesn't go thru is because even 3/4" thick AR500 steel is capable (and had) stopped .50BMG AP, API and Raufoss rounds. The .50BMG SLAP the other hand can and (had) penetrated 1" AR500 steel.
