I found a rock up ōwhango while I was hunting. It's got what looks to be a tooth or claw with a price of bone next to it. I ts also full of shells so may just be a piece of that although none of the other shells in the concretion have a porus look. I could send you a picture if you are interested

Stretch, rest and have some water every 52min brother (theres science behind that). Be careful of your back, you only have one. Mines buggered so I'm speaking from the hard lessons I've had to learn. Nerve pain is no joke. Don't mean to sound like an old lady. Love your work.

It must feel so fulfilling to know that 12 million years passed just for you to be the one to finally reveal the product of all that time. I mean, humans weren’t even close to having evolved when that crab was alive, and now all the day down the line and millions of generations later, out of alllllll the people you’re the one who gets to expose that crab to light again! I just think that’s so cool to think about.

Hi. Thank you for the explanation. Very interesting. I just always assumed fossils would be solid after being in the ground and turning to stone. I was surprised to hear the legs can be hollow. Could they be what's left over from the crab molting, or do you not find fossilized molting?
