I just watched the first two episodes on Hulu last night. Steven Bauer of Scarface fame was a cop in the second episode ever. He was baby faced. And an Irish gangster from the Shamrocks was a young David Caruso who went on to NYPD Blue fame 12 years later.

Too bad Dennis Franz wasn’t there, but his career was on fire that year with NYPD Blue. I suppose this was more of a tribute to the core cast members; the ones who were there from the very beginning.

@@johnholliday5874 He did. He played a corrupt cop in season 3 and he landed a regular role playing Norman Buntz in the last two seasons. Both were memorable roles so I feel he should’ve been up there with the rest of the cast.

Unfortunately this show aired just for maybe 15-20 episodes over here in Germany, from series one. It didn't take off here in the eighties too american, too shocking for Europe, too realistic about daily life in big American cities. Dallas or Falcon Crest, later, suited much more the believe and the expectation about America and Amercans in European eyes. HSB was too shocking, to brutal and realistic. I sticked to the show as long as it aired, surping up every single story untill it disappeard and was replaced on the slot with Denver Clan (Dynasty) Seeing this reunion at the awards makes me sigh😢😢😢 Brilliant show, not understood over here....
