‘51 Jaguar XK120 race car basic drive

I watched that drive video and had to take a cold shower. I can't imagine track time in that car. I grew up with 120s. A '51 and a '54. My first drive in any car was in the parking lot of a local high school, in our '54 XK120. I was 14. It ruined me for cars for the rest of my life. These were the pinnacle of British sports cars. Iconic and pure, Two-seats, non-syncro gearbox, manual steering, I get shivers just thinking about it. I can also assure you (after 39 years in L.E.) very few cops would give you a ticket unless they were knuckleheads... or you were. They might pull you over to get a picture or drool, which can be a nuisance, but given the age of the car and the stratospheric cool factor, I think you're pretty safe.

Don't know why this was recommended to me now rather than when it was uploaded but it sounds beautiful when you open it up, though maybe a bit rich at low revs.

Champion N3C you tend to need them a bit rich in the lower end, I forget why now but I’ve heard it before
