Great match. The second game was full of nail biting turns.

In high-level Kubb games, why do they always toss the field kubbs close to the outside edge? Is this just to avoid the chance of accidentally hitting the king when aiming for the cluster of kubbs?

no, grouping and getting more kubbs down with one throw

yeah but why right on the edge of the field where they risk throwing a fault? @@andreaspieper6524

@@andreaspieper6524 Doesn't answer the question of why so close to the edge tho? Why not closer to the middle between king and edge?

@@darelshelton697 If you knock over the king before the end of the game, you lose immediately. If you throw the kubbs into the corners, the playing field is limited in two directions, so you have to place the kubbs closer together when you set them up.

Why do they toss ALL blocks from both teams in the field every time? Arent you supposed to throw only your own toppled blocks, and then remove them from play after they are knocked in the field the first time?

In tournament rules, all blocks that are knocked down from both sides are thrown in. You might be thinking of recreational rules that people use in their own backyards.

Another rules question: if a single baton hits the last field kubb, and then also hits one of the line kubbs, does the line kubb count as having been toppled?

Yes

Good game! Anyone could answer the question: if the baton hits the ground and then the kubb, does it count?
