7:02 “tight turn radius” is your tractor, not the sweeper

At work we had a Termite ( Billy-Goat Brand) lawn vac. Reduction 8:1. Would eat a 2" branch. If you went slow so as not to clog ...it worked miracles. Had a hose attach.. lawn vacs everywhere but the Termite model seems hard to locate used.

Works great! kzbin.infoUgkxprGGPRQoChQaA8u58dt7miEpxQBKiWeJ More difficult with longer grass, though, but I was expecting that. I have a small back yard, it seemed like overkill to buy a lawnmower with an engine. This is easy to carry in and out of the basement through the bulkhead. Very sharp (be careful). At the back of the mower are little wheels, which I use when pulling the mower backwards, so it's easy to readjust direction. I'm including a photo which shows the before and after for my lawn when it was at its longest. For long grass like that you really have to put some muscle into it, and I needed to go into a new section of grass with some momentum, but when the grass is only an inch or two higher than regular cut height it's quite easy. The lawn is still patchy and full of weeds, but at least it's a good height! A step in the right direction.

Hi, I added a old window screen to the Opening to prevent stuff from flying out . ( going too fast ) .

Well that’s really nice if you have a place like that to empty it! But what then if you don’t! I emptied it out into a trap and then bagged it ! Quite a job
@53Ericd4 жыл бұрын
Chis, I could see it being a problem if you have to bag it. Yes, we are in the country and wouldn't dream of giving away good mulch. We dump and mix it with other organics and rotate the piles. It makes excellent compost.

If you are in the UK, this is NOT man enough for our grass. I have to say that I am not impressed by either the quality of manufacture of the product or the company's after sales or reaction to constructive criticism of the product! I have been through countless bolt for the sweeper brushes and 4 of the 6 brushes are now scrap. The main problem is that the product is just not able to cope with...1) our damp grass 2) any kind of undulation of the ground that may result in additional pressure on one end of the brushes compared to the other and 3) I know it sound mad but the manufacturer states that it must not be used at a greater speed than walking pace!!! I have a Kubota BX231and 3 acres to mow and pick up on, Nobody who buys a 54" sweeper (because of the area they have to cover) should be expected to only use the sweeper at walking pace!!! I now intend to cannibalise it keeping just the frame, sweeper guard and bag and build something that is man enough to do the job! For the UK and when doing large areas, you need to be spending about £1000.00 unless your lawn is perfectly flat, and you have lots of time to go very slowly and empty very regularly!

Hi, question ? Do you mulch your lawn(s) ? You spent all that money , You could have the add on bagger Or a pull behind vacuum? " Right equipment For Correct Job !
@kramrevaew2 жыл бұрын
@@crashwrench Yes, I do mulch. The issue in the UK is that there is quite a period of the year (spring and Autumn) where the grass is growing but there is still a lot of dampness in the grass and the air; result, you get clumps of grass that drop off the cutter, these then rot and kill the grass under them! Secondly, we have a lot of leaves which I collect these for leaf mould for the veg patch and we have a lot of acorns. Anything other than a sweeper struggles to collect the acorns and the leaves at a decent pace. Final problem is that there are very few (to no) attachments in the UK for this task, so I was relying in the USA to build something that would both do the job and to be of decent quality...Failed on both counts! At this money, it should have been the right tool for the job!! To clarify, pull behind vacuums are crap and expensive too and the Kubota grass/leaf collector costs about £5,500 ($6414) extra here!!!!!! I don't own a golf course I just want to look after 2.5 acres!!!
