You can also use the 529 plan to pay for graduate school. All the same rules apply that he reviewed.

Thank you for all of the great info! I'm a bit confused about whether parents or grandparents should ideally set up the 529 plan. Would it be better for the child if the 529 counted as an asset towards financial aid purposes? Or be better for the child if it counted as income towards the FASFA?

You can use it but will have to pay interest in the earnings.

My aunt moved my son's inheritance into a 529. He is 20, almost 21. Works full time with no interest in college. He can't touch the money until he is 26. Hmmm.

I have a question I am a Uber/Lyft driver and I have a LLC I recently got approved for the EIDL and this is not the Grant. I am unsure what to actually spend the money on and is this loan forgiveable? Also should I just give it back and get the PPP Loan instead ?
