Ustaz Saleh, may God bless you with another 500 years. I am always impressed with your tireless want to enlighten. Most of us would like to cling to our simple and convenient narratives, thus bringing a different perspective, which in fact would be added wisdom is what we should want. Instead it is becomes a hard sell. I appreciate your intellect for continuing to press on, so we have another window to look through. We owe it to our ancestor, the just, and the comic, King Armah of Adulis (the Nejash), to keep learning.

Thank you. You are very kind but let’s share the 500 years with 10 people🙄 Beside marketing and business, history and geography are my favorite subjects. I enjoy delivering such topics. I believe our problems are caused by our tunnel vision, very narrow perspective. The moment we strive to widen it, we will be treading on the right path. Ignorance is the enemy of humanity. But slowly, there is alternative to fighting the crippling element of ignorance. Thank you again

Despite many false allegations against him, Imam Ahmed remains to be our eternal hero who crashed the moral of the oppressers. We are so proud of him.

Mashallah you are right. Ahmed ibn ibrahim al ghazi was harari with a trace of yemeni blood. He invaded the abyssinia Christian empire to put an end to their injustices and brutality towards the Muslims. It was the Christian abyssinias who invaded and attacked the Muslims first. Also ahmed ibrahim al gazi destroyed churches as a retaliation for the destruction of many mosques by the Christian abyssinia king. When the abyssinia Christian king invaded the adal sultanate they destroyed thousands of mosques. Ahmed ibn ibrahim never killed any innocent person. He is a hero to many muslims in the horn of Africa for his bravery and courage to defend our religion against the brutal and vicious Christian abyssinia king.

@@mrhassanali3297 he was not Yemeni but was of Somali ethnicity from Harar area. Even Harari historians have written about this. I myself belong to his clan. Some of the Aamir tribe of Eritrea are our brethren and they belong to Garad Aamir tribe, cousins of the Imam (RA). My wish is to know about them.

@@ED37569 He wasn't a Zoomali. He was harari born and raised in hubat. He came from a noble and well-respected background. Somalis were nomads who primarily resided in the desert hinterland of modern-day Somalia. Somalis don't have any sense of culture or civilization. They were nomads roaming around the desert in search of pasture and water. Please don't distort historical facts

@@ED37569 He wasn't somali. There is not a single historical book or paper that asserts Imam Ahmed was Somali. These are just speculations and hypotheses. Imam Ahmed was harari born and raised in hubat. Imam Ahmed had no meaningful connections or encounters with somalis. Various forms of historical evidence demonstrate that Imam Ahmed was harari. Overwhelming majority of somalis are nomads. The indigenous minorities( reer xamar, bantu) who have been displaced from their land are not originally somali. The indigenous minorities are very peaceful and hard-working people. The entire coastal towns of the Indian Ocean in present-day Somalia were originally established and built by arabs. The reer xamar community are remnants of the arabs who established Mogadishu and other coastal towns in Somalia. Somali nomads stole the lands and properties of the indigenous bantu and reer xamar community.

Past is past, we are peaceful, forgiving and people with good intentions and good wishes to everyone. We would like to live in peace and harmony with our non Muslim brothers and sisters. What you did in the past is more than enough, May you get what you deserve from the Almighty God. Now live us alone. We live in harmony or we vanish together. 😱

Have you heard of Faqih Areb? He was the companion and chronicler of the Inam’s campaigns and has written about him in details. His book is called The Conquest of Abyssinia, translated into several languages. Of course there are folktales (and myth) surrounding great men like the Imam, mostly spread through elders. As for me, I tend to trust rigorously critiqued and debated scholarly narrations. It’s strange you didn’t mention ZeilA or Amir Mahfouz. I suggest you read More books and then conclude, if you haven’t done so. Thank you for the feedback
