I first watched Sabado Gigante when I was small in 1962 with both my Great-Grandparents who were from Spain. I very seldom missed a show. Don Francisco was the best. I loved the variety of the show and even in 2015 it showed what a classy variety show should be. I watched the new variety of the show that replaced it. No offense, but I didn't care much for it. Thank you so much for downloading Sabado Gigante on You Tube. Adios Sabado Gigante. Gone, but never forgotten.

'Super Sabado' always fun to watch whenever channel surfing (I'm Polish-American). Don Francisco, you are a good guy & I wish you a long healthy & joyful retirement.

The show started in Santiago, Chile, in 1962. It was originally aired on Sundays, and it was therefore called "Show Dominical" (Sunday Show). In 1965, it was moved to Saturdays, and the name was changed to "Sábados Gigantes" (plural). In 1986, production started in Miami for "Sábado Gigante", which was broadcast in the US. From that moment and until 1992, the show was produced simultaneously in Santiago, for the Chilean market, and in the US. Between 1986 and 1987, Sábados Gigantes (the Chilean version) was broadcast for over 7 hours every Saturday in Chile, with some segments being live.

+srercrcr I Loved Sabado Gigante and back in the 1990s and Early 2000s i watched it Every weekend with my grandmother when i lived in New York City and I Loved that show. The show should have picked a new host just like the price is right got Drew Carey as host after Bob Barker retired in June 2007 after 35 years as host of the price is right so Sabado Gigante should have done the same thing, Picked a new host just like the price is right did and not cancel Sabado Gigante but i guess it was up to Don Francisco because he was in charge of the show and he brought the show to the US in 1986 and Don should have let somebody replace him as the new host but i guess Don didn't want that.

@@michael57511 I wouldn't doubt the final decision was down to him, and he probably owned a substantial portion of the program itself.
