Thank you,I can share the dry edited version posted on the community page if you wish .The dry version is actually a bit more difficult to show the exact colors ,because some of them are color shifts and change depending on the light also the turquouse never ever reads as anything but blue so truly the wet version looks alot more like the actually dry version than does the edited dry photo.
@genawarrington31955 жыл бұрын
@@efluidartstudiopriscillab that would be great. I'm always curious what a painting looks like after it is dry. Also do you resin over the top? Which would put sheen back on it. I see a lot of others say they do.

Love the water running down the middle and the clouds are GORGEOUS! I’m sorry to ask again, but I did not copy down your recipe for mixing mica. I asked when you were using gold is it the same for any color?
@efluidartstudiopriscillab5 жыл бұрын
Thank you .Similare recipe.My "recipe" is simple- and starts with GAC 800 from "Golden " .Use a quantiy you might guess will be about 20% of the whole mixture after the mixing of all the pouring mediums and flow agents are added. To the Gac 800 I add the mica powder until it begins to be smooth and thick enough to seem like a good consistency slightly runnier than warm honey. The first time I created a 3 oz. container, I added a tablespoon of the GAC to the bottom and added two tongue depressors piled as high as I could get them without making a huge mess, cautiously add them into the GAC and stir. Don't worry if it isn't instant .just go until most of the Pebbles " of mica are added to the thin paste and then add as much of your choice of pouring medium as you want a little at a time. You must test after adding and mixing more pouring medium to make sure you have a good solid color and keep adding the pouring medium until you have both good color and pourability (my amounts are always estimated). I personal preference is a mix of Floetrol and (half )Deco Art pouring. Before using this mixture stir or shake it first every time! The lately I use my squeeze bottles to mix and all I have to do is shake them that's my go-to. Just remember to test and mix everything thoroughly. You really can't get this wrong if you keep to the plan .It will never be as thick as the rest of your paint but it will be close unless you are using it outdoors ( as I do ) . I recommend NOT using this mixture in temperatures above 80 degrees. Its just to thin a mixture to work in any appropriate manner.

I would like to get start with poured paintings, I am new to this so, would you recommend type of paints to use. I want to start out with 8by10 size and smaller. I luv the paintings you do they are wounderful.
@efluidartstudiopriscillab5 жыл бұрын
Thank you and WElcome! About the paints I use. I use Golden, Anita's metallics and other Anita's I add Golden's Iridescent Pearl Fine into whatever color to make paint pearlescent, it's as much as I feel is correct by eye testing as I go along until I am happy. Not a measured amount. Arteza paints are good quality and if they sold larger portions I would probably happily use them more often. Recently I fell in love with Art Minds (iridescent's ) and a few other colors I make adjustments by adding something to make the paints shimmer. Artist loft( from Michael's ), Masters touch ( Hobby Lobby ). Folk-art color shifts and metallic's products many of which are shown on my Amazon link in blue under show more above the recipe. I use only Golden's "fluid " Magenta but its an investment and not the typical viscosity I like to use. Grumbacher is my go-to brand of Prussian Blue. The only brand I have no interest in trying so far is Appel Barrel …but I heard they improved their quality. There are not many acrylic's I have had any issues with when mixing with my pouring medium recipe. I also frequently use Wal Mart, Black and white semi-gloss latex Interior house paint, half and a half with Artists loft to create the coverage and consistency I like, Folk-art Multi-surface acrylic purple neon too. I use a lot of Anita's...Everything works if you mix it well and pay attention to saturation and consistency. All acrylics and acrylic craft paints work well for me.

Blues white pink and purples for skies(as they can be)sometimes yellow too. Greens rusts golds and occasionally red oranges purple representing flora for most landscapes. Seems like a natural selection probably without alot of forethought on my part.

Thank you so much for your reply, I will start purchasing some of the brands you suggested, from you if they are on your website at Amazon. I have to go slow at first, I love everything you are doing. As I said I am a beginner, and I luv the way you don’t waste a lot of paint.
