Jerry you are a Craftsman of the finest alive. You have inspired me to begin to build some instruments. I'm a 50 yrs guitar player and I'm a master carpenter, cabinet builder. You have made your techniques clear and simple to understand. Thank you for your passing on wisdom. I'm from Alabama so I'm going to creat Yellow Hammer Guitars and stringed instruments. I'll keep you posted as time goes by.

Can't believe I missed this.(at least the video said "4 days ago"). At least I was able to see it. It's coming along beautifully. I can tell those hands are getting worse, even though you don't belly ache about it, it's getting easier to tell, just by the way your holding the tools, etc. Can't imagine the pain. I had Boeing for 2 years tell me my right wrist was sprained. 2 years? My old bass player said "You're getting what the old time boxers called 'Applesauce wrist' from shooting & bucking those rivets all day." He had Carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, had surgery on both. I know it's hope beyond hope, but I do hope some how you'll find something to give you some relief. Me & the grandkids are praying for you. The guitar is going to be a real beauty, a fitting tribute to your skill as a luthier. Blessings Jerry, from me & my little ones.

I love watching you work, one of my favorite things is to hear the ring test, I've seen violin makers tune the tops and bottoms and to me, that is the most exciting part of a build. your instrument always ring so beautiful. those sides, just beautiful- more decorations for the back end of the sides, NO PROBLEM, love it. I'm an old heavy metal rocker at heart but I have also always loved blue grass and acoustic music, the music you treat us to during your builds is such a joy to listen to. Thank you Jerry, for doing what you do.

Can’t wait to see the finished product! I sure hope your not going to retire. A whole lot of folks are going to miss these excellent videos. If you do… perhaps you could continue and Caleb could do the work while you do the camera and the narrative.

Fascinating to watch this guitar being built. I've been a guitarist for 56 years, and played professionally for quite some time. I've learned a lot about guitar construction that was a mystery to me. Your skills, knowledge and talent are wonderful to watch. Thanks for this last build of your career.

Speaking of skinning a cat when I was a young boy 6 years old maybe younger there were some people that we called the cat people they lived on the Bayou across from duponts fish market this was downtown shreveport la.in view of large buildings we would drive by they would have cats strung up on what looked to be clothes lines skinning them out they eat them they lived in a little outdoor toilet size Shack they sit on Apple crates for chairs they were old when they died the city came in there and tore it down they found 125,000 1960s dollars hidden in the walls I guess they saved every dime they ever got their hands on

I love watching you work. I used to build speaker cabinets, and seeing you install the soundhole brace ring made me think of a port in a speaker box. If you made the inside radius match the sound hole, would it give the guitar a deeper resonance?

Jerry,,,,, just a suggestion that came to me while watching you cut and install the wooden backer ring under the sound hole...... what about gluing a patch of fiberglass cloth on there instead, and then cutting it out afterward with your exacto knife?

A secret not to glue your clamped board is to put johnsons pasre wax on your little board it will come right off what you dont wont it on with mineral spirits i prefer this to plastic are parchement paper its also good to put on wood screws if you dont have any use a bar of soap on srews works great too

.just a suggestion Should put some protection on the side of your"bench dog".that the top of the guitar was resting against.i kept seeing it come slightly off and knick against that wood..i know your experienced and all.but most of us would have knicked the edge of that top fairly well..at least some dents..but maybe binding would resolve all that anyhow..that's why your the pro😂
