Y'all I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my video but please for the love of God, stop asking what's in the water bottle.... It's water. I even notated it at 2:23. I'm sure someone is going to read this and say it's passive aggressive, and it very well may be but at least I take the time to respond and answer questions on a video that's well over 3 years old. I'm just tired of getting the same single question on this video, especially when I've already answered it IN the video. I realize that's is because people's mindset when it comes to locs are so misinformed. Products don't make your hair Loc. Your hair is able to do that all on its own, all you need to do is guide and facilitate it. If your hair has a curl pattern, no matter how soft or fine, it can Loc. It just takes time, patience, and proper technique/application. No single method will work for everyone, this method has work well for her locs and I even have videos of her locs a year later if anyone is interested, and if you want to see what her locs look like now, follow our salon on Instagram @thegriynthumb.

Mr Lord Evil the amount of locs you have mostly depends on the size that you start then but it is also dependent on your hair texture and the amount of strands on your head. If you want more locs you part smaller sections of you want them larger you part your sections larger. With that in mind, you can make the decision on whether you want to start your locs over... They are a big commitment and if you aren't satisfied it's better to fix it earlier rather than later.

+Tatiana Ragland That is completely false. We set, retwist, and style locs with just oil at our salon, THEGRIYNTHUMB Salon. It's healthier overall. Locs hold EVERYTHING in them, dirt, lent, products, etc. Over time, if you constantly retwist your locs with heavy-coating products, it can discolor, stiffen, or even weigh down your locs. Oh and thanks for the complement!
