Agreed on the goosebumps! The first time I heard this song was just a short clip of it in a Sam Goody commercial for the Green album that played on MTV in 1986. I had no idea who 54-40 was, but just hearing part of that chorus that was played in the commercial was enough for me to go out and buy the cassette the next day. I never did see the Baby Ran video on MTV (they were probably too busy playing Huey Lewis and Bon Jovi) but thank goodness I was watching when that commercial played. I'm not sure if I would ever been exposed to 54-40 otherwise, since they've rarely gotten much exposure in most of the US.
