Shutters look great, was a job i was meaning to do but never got round to it, and probably would not have done as good a job as you guys. I remember that watering can although it wasnt automatic when i had it!. Frankie is starting to show his age a little although im sure as friendly as ever, does he still jump up and sit on the window sill crying to be in. Still miss the place a bit but have to admit not the cold winter mornings, i remember once it was minus 16oC it froze the under ground pipe from the well to the house and took several days to thaw out. Place looks great and you look justly proud. Well done

da próxima vez que plantarem uma árvore de fruto coloquem no buraco um pouco de fertilizante orgânico/estrume de preferencia da compostagem. Ajuda as árvores a crescerem mais rápidamente.

I wouldn't be planting citrus trees in 0C temperatures. They love warmth; and the lemon tree already looks very stressed. :(

We did realise the mistake a bit late, but it is warming up nicely now, and the trees seems to be recovering nicely. We are keeping a close eye on them 👍

I was wondering if the screws or anchor bolts used to secure the blue shutter frames in place were going only into the foam insulation? Or is there something other material behind it?

Hi Mark. We did add some metal brackets bolted to the cement block walls to extend it out, so the shutter bolts are held by the metal brackets.
