an other good tip would be to actively pull your non kickinglang back, i personaly struggled with this, i only used my non kicking leg to gain height in the cheat setup but kinda "left" it there, this ended up closing my legs turning my 540 in to a wierd crecent 540 thing. So pulling that knee around and back actively helps with the kick and rotation. Some people do this automaticly(i see you doing it in your cheat kicks), but if your struggeling with 540 's and 720's this could help. Great video !!

I've sprained my ankle 3 times. do you think it's still realistic to aim for 540, if so how long should I work on ankle strength and conditioning before attempting? my tornado kick is very good as I have a TKD background.

Same here brother but i sprained my ankle for the 4th time. Continue doing strength and conditioning exercises if not every day then on alternate days. And once you feel that ankle is good to go then start training again 👍🏼

Hope all is healed. Sprained ankles are nothing to worry about. Just simple rehab will keep you right. Just be cautious of landing. Make sure your training area is clean and even. I've broken both my ankles while competing and I was back on my feet in 6 months/ tricking no problem.

My problem with 540 is the landing foot. I always have my kickinng feet landed to the side way instead of having it landed backward so my body can spin alittle bit more after landing, any tips for that guys?

I have all the prerequisite techniques for the 540 down but for some reason I still can’t land it... it always lands as a Tornado Kick, but it seems I lack the flexibility and core strength requirement.
