Very good to see the past times of Sun and fun with other music sounds and culture, some of those meals....WOW !! I donot remember you had sharks about your boat, ?some sort of "black tip" or mako? we used to serve shark at hotel gaztronom/ or was it "gas whoa mom"!!? Thanks Ross for this warm comment!!! Yes, they where blacktops. We caught a good sized fish on the way and they smelled the blood when we cleaned our steps after filleting. Even as we drive out the carcasses of the fish further away from the boat, that they don’t get the idea, UMADUM is their feeding station 😎🥂🥂☹️🥂❤️

👍 very, very well put together. Your seen and shown us the Good, the bad & the SHARKS 😯 I've seen and had been told of large waves being hard to video. However, at 4:27 your videoing came as close as possible to the real thing! Sharks on the other hand are like Skunks. If you smell them, that's close enough. If you see them, your to close. It was not easy to film this waves. We put the camera in a plastic bag, went down to the last step, it was wet and a bit scary, but... Sharks are beautiful animals. It’s great to see them move, speeding up with a little movement of the fin. If you don’t see them, you miss one of the most beautiful creatures in the water. 😉⛵️🎥

🦈 I tried to second guess my friend when he said "We need a bigger boat ".🤔 Then I saw a 10-foot TIGAR SHARK with his/her mouth open. No need to wonder were the 16-inch chunk of missing meat from our fish went! No doubt Sharks are nice fish... if they are well fed.

Yes, but that’s their job: reef sharks have to control ill fish to keep the reef healthy. That’s why you have to be careful when you are hunting. A fish on a hook makes certain sounds which alarm the sharks (and the barracudas too) to do their job.

I like your content a lot, especially about performance cats and when you interview experienced people. The one with the musicians was so beautiful! And I have a question: I seriously dream about living aboard a cat since a few months. I earn well and I can work online. I just do not have a quarter of a million bucks. Do you see a way, how I can get a performance cat for about 100k without turning to fish fodder on day 1? It can be a small one, as it is mainly going to be me with my girlfriend part time. Kind regards and keep up the good life!

Thank you! It’s not easy to find a performance cat for this money. But, why not look for an older one? Don’t know, where you live, but there are a lot of cats at good prices in Australia, look at websites there and invest some money for a proper survey from someone who knows cats. Older plywood cats, IF they where built well are easy to repair if needed. But be sure that the structure is good

Might be necessary to look worldwide. And have a nice sail back to Hamburg??? There is a nice Richard Woods design offered in Langkawi/Malaysia for I think 80,000 dollar. Just have a nice jump across the Indian Ocean, enjoy the wonderful Red Sea, spend some time in the Med, and there you are...

@@UmadumSailing ​ @Umadum Sailing yes, looks like great boat by a nice couple. Is it a performance cat though? It says 7 knots is maximum speed. I might be asking a lot considering my small budget :D The boat has charme and I like the layout. I could very well imagine starting with a boat like that or even that boat. I had been looking at Seawind 1000s and they seem to be around what I could afford. After seeing your cat and the above, the Seawind seems to be lacking in the charme department. What do you think about them? I looked for your Cypher as well but there are no listings. The Looping and the Atlantic cost about 500k, so I imagine yours will be around that. The last thing I would do is to transfer it to Germany though ;D My plan is rather to transfer myself towards the southern side of the globe for most of the year and possibly for all of it asap. South East Asia does not seem like bad place to start.

I personally don’t like Seawinds. And yes, SE Asia is a good place to cruise. The living costs are cheap, you can get all boat parts easy, in Thailand and Malaysia you have 2 coasts, west coast in the NE Monsun season, W coast in the SW season. Philippines are nice with the right Hurricane season tactic, the Indian Ocean incl. Madagascar and Tanzania is a beautiful cruising ground and again you can do a round there and back easily. If this cat has performance I don’t know, but talk with the designer, he has a FB page. And don’t forget to consult a surveyor who knows catamarans, especially plywood boats. I had a pretty old plywood cat before, nothing wrong with it if it’s built properly. And: from Australia to SE Asia it’s an easy trip. Have a look to YACHTHUB.COM, now and then they have cheap and good cats.
