I have a question about paging. Why won't the ip office allow you to dial the paging access code on the phones rather than presd the page button is that a setting within the system? Can you tell me what the settings called?

Its called a short code and I think the function is "Dial Page" then you enter the group number you setup for paging.

@@IPOfficeTechsMilwaukee What I meant to say was when I press page it displays the access code but, when I dial that access code it says restricted number. My question is how can the system block a number from a phone set yet still dial it from a speed dial?

@@IPOfficeTechsMilwaukee Ok, so you can make numbers only accessible through buttons only with the ip office? Ok, I was wondering why I couldn't page using the page extension. I was in a store with a newly installed ip office that they migrated from a nortel bcm and I noticed when you pressed their page button it dialed 306 but, when I dialed 306 it said restricted number and gave a busy signal. The store was Publix. By the way, did they intentionally make it where you can only push page instead of dial 306? Also this system was dialing an overhead pa system. Can you guys explain how to connect a pa system to the ip office and program the ip office to work?
