In 74 my good friend Tom Barnes aka sundance or The hippy did my 55, a garage keep one owner zero dents or rust. With complete off frame take down. 100 % paint remove with help of beer, AC/DC & friends. Painted black , small rainbow metal flake over black follow by clear coat. All new factory tint glass rubber & channels in windows. Fiberglass tilt front end. T-10 borgwarner/ mrgasket inline shifter 350 bored 40 over anything that could be done to engine & still be streetable was done. I was 24 years old & this build was the best time of my life. Hey great work. On Bill's car you make one great guard out of two use the front half of one back half if the other,cut them both in the middle with some overlap bolt it on to the car run a saw through the overlap that gives you a nice putt join to weld and tap up. That's real body metal work that's my tip from Australia been in the trade for 45 years. 👍

Bills 55 is looking great. That 70 Chevelle. Nothing sounds like those door on those 68 to 72 A body GM Cars. Shut those doors and solid thump. Even without all its parts in and on the doors. Perfect.

In the 70s, they intentionally pushed the fender 8:39 8:43 out from the door a little bit so that it would close plus cut down on wind noise
