I have this regulator since a month and it works just perfectly. Ever heard about initialization ? The delay you talk about between different setups is only initialization which is a normal process. And of course you cannot change the voltage or current once outside of the menu. This is clearly for protecting the load or circuit connected with the regulator.
@amirb7154 жыл бұрын
at 6:12 what does it have to do with low input voltage?? the device is gone into CC mode because you set the current limit at 0.3A and connected a 50 ohm to 36V. of course voltage will drop to keep the current at 0.3A. that's how any current limiting power supply works

It's made for for supercell capacitors it works as a voltage feller to keep up with the need off power in a group of 15 or 90 capacitors if you will put a group of capacitors on the output side you will see a super change of power in milliseconds you see the voltage stabilize and the amperage escalate dramatically its a door to a new power suply

Good review! Can you tell me how well the over-current protection works? I have a simular (Chinese) buckconverter module, and it does not do a good job of the over-current protection. It actually first goes up to the set voltage, and after about 200ms it starts checking the maximum current that is flowing. If it's too high, it then starts to lower the voltage. This means that for at least 200ms you could get a massive over-voltage (and of course allso over-current) before it kicks in the over-current protection, effectively destroying your component due too the late protection. Is this module doing a better job?

"Compliance" is a term generally used to spec the voltage range of a current source (or similar concept). I wouldn't use it as freely as you are...
@namangupta864 жыл бұрын
The most annoying thing here is that you have done so many tests. But, forget to change the current from .300a to 5amps. It defeats the purpose of testing. Beleive me, this device can easily do 5amps at 12 volts is you provide it the right power. Rest things you can figure yourself.

Plus he keeps complaining about the lag, which is purely the output capacitor charging/discharging as will happen with any power supply. Plus he also keeps referring to his 50ohm load resistor which i can guarantee is not exactly 50 ohms at best this resistor will be a 5% tolerance one, plus as it warms up the resistance will change. He as others have stated keeps referring to CC as being current compliance which is wrong. CC stands for constant current. He may have a good technical background but his practical knowledge is obviously very limited .

I think something is wrong with the board, since I can't limit the amperage that is being applied to the circuit, and most of the times it won't display the current amperage and power drawn from the power supply (stays at 0A and 0W). How can I tell if something is damaged and how could I fix it?

As a radio amateur, one of the things I worry about is RF noise, particularly with switching mode power supplies. Would you consider this power supply appropriate for a QRP rig? Thanks DE WA1KLI

As a former SMPS project engineer and a fellow Ham too, I would say it would make a very good noise generator within the same room as your radio or near your antenna. Possibly anywhere in your house too ;-) Even 110v LED bulbs can be really nasty if you are on the HF bands...

Is there a specific way to turn it off ? or just unplug the supply ?

I think you need to do some research on power supplies abs CV and CC. You have it set to CC of 300ma with a 50ohm load at 36v. What do you expect it to do. It’s current limiting You really don’t know what you are doing

Hello. The XYS3580 module (LCD display) has a very poor performance. On 50W load test, the XYS3580 heats up to + 70 ° C, while the XYH3606 module has a stable temperature of 33 ° C. The XYH3606 module does not have an output anti-reverse diode, one must be installed if you want to recharge a battery. I made a power supply with output out 0V to 36V 120W compact autonomous rechargeable from 15V to 24V IN (power supply off or on, it doesn't matter) in an aluminum box of 130Lx110Wx50H mm, 6 18650 batteries mounted in 3S2P, bms, regulator battery charge limited in current (1.4A), USB module 2.4A QC2.0 / 3.0, etc ... 30mm regulated case fan, etc ... This power supply operates on mains and / or internal batteries which are recharged as soon as the IN sector (15V to 24V) is present. Regards

I have a similar, and what you expected is what I did and it was a let down. I paid £8 for mine free postage. But I think you ended hitting the nail on the head. If you set then power it's fine. Active adjustment isn't good. I had issues trying to set voltage as it set amp and would volt to what it likes you have to use the settings (long hold power) to set limits (not min) With power the amps can't be finite.. This is what annoys me, it was sold as a solar charge controller. Which I guess as that, it would work. It says DC to DC boost buck also. But set and forget... For an hour due to the auto off function!...
