If he doesn't spend any time in prison then yeah he might. If he's behind bars for any period of time, Robert will be incensed. The only good thing that might come out of this is that Aaron will be kissing his ass on LIv's behalf for a while to appease him. Hopefully that involves a lot of kissing scenes.

Aaron is being forced now, to make a stand. It is either Robert or Liv. Either Aaron will stand with Robert thru this matter and send Liv, with love, packing, or Aaron will let Robert suffer for something that was wrong, but done on his behalf and continue to support Liv. Liv is really on the edge of exile after she trashed the house and now also betrayed Aaron by ratting-out Robert. She doesn't realize that Aaron would not even be alive if it weren't for Robert and Aaron needs to tell her that, if he loves Robert, which is doubtful really.

Robert promised Aaron he'd make it work with Liv. I'm pretty sure he's going to suck it up for Aaron's sake. But this is definitely putting Aaron in the middle. Hopefully he'll finally get tough with Liv and let her know she can't keep walking over people, especially Robert.

If Aaron wasn't a problem child himself and they didn't just go through a court case involving sending their dad to prison and then finding out he topped himself, then it would be weird how he always coddled her. But considering the emotional turmoil she's going through, I can see why she's being handled with kid gloves. It's very realistic given Aaron's nature.

Liv's general brattiness is being excused by her learning of Gordon's abuse of Aaron, and therefore she needs to be treated with kid gloves, but if you think back to her first minutes on the show she lied and manipulated two strangers into giving her money; then attempted to steal more money from them; and, when she thought she was being confronted by them, accused the same two strangers of attempting to molest her. She was obviously a lying, manipulative thief well before she learned her absentee father was a pedophile. Aaron, as we know now, had an excuse for his anti-social behavior, Liv not so much.

The perfect outcome for all this ongoing thing would be (to me): Robert ends having "enough" of Liv and accidentally kills her. This time everybody knows and there´s no possible way no more for him to stay in the village (like Nathan Wylde, you know, that satisfying moment when a bastard got what he deserved). In fact he either gets shot (again) or goes to jail for decades. Aaron moves on and keeps his ongoing long journey in the show with a different type of man. You always have to spice things up after a couple of years :)

Well at least this channel is a bit nicer to Aaron! The other channel is brutal towards him! Not necessary at all considering the shit he has to be put through time and time again! Aaron is one of the few characters left in the show who stands up for what's right with a good moral compass. He loves Robert therefore he WILL help him! He's clearly heartbroken at his sisters actions, but she's insecure and vulnerable and he knows how that feels. When he gets Robert out Robert will forgive her, so I don't really see what people's problem is! Danny MIller absolutely nailed those scenes in this episode, shows exactly why hes winning his much deserved awards!

I love Aaron, but honestly where is this idea he's a good moral character come from. He is a low level criminal and prone to violent out bursts. I don't think the family of the bloke he put in hospital with an unprovoked attack would think he has a good moral compass. The reason I like Aaron is that he isn't a good boy, he is a bit dodgy and often does the wrong thing but he also loyal and loving. This attempt by some people to paint him as some sort of saint just takes all his interesting traits away from him and makes him some sort of poor victim figure.

Yes, sorry to see that something Robert meant to be helpful to Aaron at the time, has come back to bite him in the arse. On the other hand, Robert may getting that which is due in the world where bad things done in the dark, finally, inevitably come to the light. Robert, as we know has done some unspeakably horrible things and his bribery and tampering with justice is one of the things for which he just might have to answer to. On the other hand, we know Robert is extremely clever. He will find a way to extricate himself. Not sure if he and Aaron will survive this. It is ironic that the great Deceiver Sugden has been felled by a little impudent, snot-nosed tart like Liv.

I can't see how Robert can escape prosecution. And if ED wishes to deal with real issues correctly ( like you all believe it did with Aaron's rape case), then we need to see Robert face the consequences of his actions. Conspiracy to pervert the course of justice is a serious charge. Ryan will be effected too, which I guess is his comeuppance for being greedy ( not his fault, as Liv put it, he is not well fed by the look of him, so he probably could do with the money.LOL)

I was hoping for a more intelligent response, but I'll work with what I have. I don't doubt that Robert would put in a better performance. My comment was the handling of this issue by ED. As a big deal was made about the rape issue I would appreciate the producers just once in a while reflecting the reality of the crimes that get committed along the way and the charges the characters face too. And with regards retracting of the statements , I think you would find the situation has now gone beyond Ryan being able to retract a statement. The police might be many things, but stupid is not one of them.

I actually don't know if he would have gotten any prison time! Not if it was an accident and he went to the police immediately or called them as soon as it happened! I mean he pushed her, but that does not mean that he killed her! Robert had no clue how weak the floor really was, especially that particular spot on the floor! He didn't lure Katie near that spot and intentionally push her into it to kill her! It was an accident like you said! And I don't think most people get jail time for accidents! Who knows what would have happened though! Maybe the push was enough to get him some jail time, but I'm not sure if it was!

Don't know why? Katie's death was actually an accident! Robert has done worse things than push someone! Of course him pushing her led to her death, but he wasn't the cause of it! Rotting floor boards and falling the wrong way was the cause of it! Robert didn't have a clue that would happen and didn't orchestrate the death or anything! Maybe his karma is coming around for haven been so despicable before that, and for the push, but the actual death was an accident!
