Phil was so cool back in the early days of social media; he'd always respond to or retweet stuff I mentioned him in and I'm sitting there as a kid thinking "The greatest BBer alive took time out of his day to be cool to me" lol...unbelievable bodybuilder and an awesome guy. I hope Phill continues to become even more of an ambassador of the sport. Absolute GOAT.

Phil heath always drops the truth I would love to see him come back and win the title and then retired that would make history lol also I learn from jay and Phil I train at the gym at 3:00am by myself where I don't have to see anyone. I'm just focused on my workouts then when people start to come I'm on my way out. don't have to wait to use anything just like he said it's you vs you. you motivated yourself to be the best you can be.

Phil got such a raw deal fron the fans. People love to take a confident person and drag them down cause of their own insecurities. And Kai being the underdog didnt help cause of his fanbase. As time goes on i only see his respect and appreciation going up though. Phil was legit as they come.

The diuretic thing and the food...omg. Like the epiphany moment 😅. I used to hear that and didn't know what it meant. Now being medical and just understanding pharmacology just in awe by that. It makes sense. It's also interesting when they talk about gear or medication. Just mind boggling at times. We live in a great time where we can hear a lot of people talk. Before we kinda just waited for what was said in a magazine and we had no idea if they really said or did any of those things. Glad you have this podcast. It's also nice hearing from Phil. Once he stopped competing I started to miss him. Just because the media side of things portrayed him as a bad guy. When in reality he's not. I remember how much I was a fan of kai but as I got older it's like one eventually found himself rooting for Phil or guys who were portrayed in certain ways when in reality it wasn't them.

Honestly the judgeing panel at the Arnold seemed to know how to properly judge correctly and the fans mostly agreed. There was always controversy and lack of judges being swapped or rotated out at the Mr.Olympia therefore the placings rarely changed and the results stayed the same, lots of fans protested that it was rigged or biased to certain bad looks like Synthol, bloated distended stomachs, torn or injured body parts yet this was the most complete balanced physique in the show, the 7 manatory only poses, elimination of the posing round and changing the criteria for the perfect most well proportioned physique. If any BB would have just entered the Arnold and dominated as the Champ every year, No one would dissagree that they are one the best BB of all time. Yates and Haney never entered an Arnold so we will never know, both of them believing they were just as good as Arnold Schwarzenegger. Any BB that would have 6,7, 8x consecutive Arnold Classic winner would have been an amazing accomplishment as any Mr olympia win once as most think it was a fluke victory. The Arnold was certainly just as prestigious and would have had even more prize money but Weider wouldnt allow it so it could only match the prize money and top it with a hummer vehicle or rolex watch to over throw the Olympia purse as an extra Bonus. The Ego to win the Olympia and knock off the current champ clouded the vision to go win the Arnold every year and defend it as Champ.
