I am so glad you got one of Cole's "thingys" to create with! I get so mesmerized watching him do these. I used to love going to the State Fair as a kid and doing the spin art that they had. Yes, I'm that old lol. I know that kids can do that at home now. But this sort of reminds me of that technique. I think I just found what I'm going to ask for for my Birthday!! I love watching you try new things. As others have noted too, you get a change in your voice, and sound like a very tickled child! So much joy. Oh and that's a possible name for this painting, you said the lines looked frazzled, "Frazzled" for the title! Have fun lady playing! Thank you for sharing. 💙

It looked great fun. I quite liked the ‘fuzziness’ it added more depth and took it away from the norm. Well done and what a friend you have in Cole to make you the apparatus to create many many more paintings this way. Take care, be safe. 💕 Dorset, UK

I can't wait to try this, too. There's a YT channel artist who does the Jackson Pollock size mural of this whose work knocks me out. Will try to recall who this artist is fyi at some point. Stunning pieces. Seeing you KC work w/ Cole's contraption makes this process now within my reach for a smaller format which is really cool! Thx for showing this technique. We're so blessed to have technology that allows this (PVC piping) -- so much good in our art supplies comes from these advances. Silicone, resins, etc.

SOOOO COOL! I have used your dutch pours consistency on an abstract painting before and it worked PEREFCTLY so yes, I am sure it works fantastic for this! It is the mica that gives that gritty feeling when using the pearls paints straight outta the tube. Ik, the texture is pretty cool though, right? A flat matt color with a thicker coat would work or just flood your canvas with some base paint and let it dry (blow out a couple colors, ya know? that would look pretty!). THIS TURNED OUT PERFECT!!! I LOVE IT!! Cole is such an awesome artist! So sweet of him to make and give that to you!! I also love you trying different stuff Kanella!! It is SOO AWESOME!! TY 4 sharing this! Hope you, the kids and the puppers are well! THIS WAS SOO MUCH FUN!!! xox P.s. The spray paint definitely made it look so cool! That's funny about you forgetting the cardboard! LOL! Oh well! haha!

If you thicken your paint a bit it may not turn out so "fuzzy". Also, the textury feel could be because you rolled your base paint onto the canvas instead of brushing or pouring the color on and letting it dry.

OMGoodness! What a cool new art form! YES, having these lines as a “frame” showcasing your Dutch Pours would be epic! This really looks like fun! I agree, not having the sides with the lines dripping down. The sides definitely need to be taped off first before doing the pendulum.
