Yes you can always give the other car loads of space but in that situation ElRey was more than half a car length back and from Ben’s POV you can’t even see ElRey’s car at all. That mean that corner is Ben’s and ElRey should yield. Sticking your nose in there in that situation is not only brain numbing, it’s dirty driving. ElRey’s fault 100% there.

Been watching a lot of creator series even on different perspectives to Ben's and honestly the amount of times I've witnessed ElRey ruin someones race or show examples of someone with 0 Race Craft or IQ is too often. I think you all should review his participation in this series because it's ruining potential racing and also is just not what you want to see. I also would link back to how Thomb, Ben, GB and Saffzo were able to have close battles with minimal to no contact and gives respectable room in comparison to ElRey constantly showing a nose or just driving dangerously.

@@poazze5142 Because Ben is trying to stay with the cars he was battling. ElRay was on old tires and decided to race the leaders while they're on fresh tires. A normal person would have backed out there because it wasn't for position, why would he defend if all its gonna do is lose him time. But instead of just accepting that a race leader on fresh tires is faster he defends it and loses himself significantly more time, and he was already off line and going slow from the other leaders passing him. Ben was trying to get it done asap to stay with GB, Thomb, and Rasin.

@@moodmusicytc I don't think Ben needed to be that tight to the left; ElRey was already near the curb and whilst yes he could have backed off, I watched it back and even had he done so there's a good chance there would still have been contact. Ben's not an idiot, he knows how El Rey is and on his fresher tyres, all he had to was stay a little further to the right going through that section and by the time they were through the upcoming hard right moments later, Ben would have been clean through. It's easy to blame ElRey and I'm sure on Ben's channel many will, but it wasn't a good moment from our favourite bald Aussie either either.

While Ben having a bit too much wing has often bit him in the past and probably here too, it made for some INCREDIBLE battles today, my goodness ElRey needs to be kicked out of the series. Occasionally his horrible driving causes some spectacle to spice up races but not only is that no excuse, he's now just ruining other people's races And my heart goes out to Rasin, super unlucky. Tacoman has had some driving issues but honestly that just seemed like bad luck and timing.

I'm still skeptical about Lap 39 incident. From one side, yes, ElRey could have (or should have) backed out from there to avoid the incident. But then again, I don't think he expected such a door slam on him. On the other hand, Ben just slammed the door shut while overtaking around the outside in Turn 7 while the car on the inside, which was defending, was not fully behind at that moment. Space was not given to the defender properly, and the proximity arrows in Ben's perspective never became white (in general, if arrows are white, the gap is safe - if arrows are red, gap is unsafe as there is a car in close proximity). Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think this is a racing incident that BOTH parties could have avoided, and personally I wouldn't blame either side as they were trying to have their own race.

i’m surprised how many of y’all don’t understand very basic racing etiquette/rules. in the large majority of racing, you ONLY, leave the space, when the driver passing is 50 or more commonly 75% past the driver ahead. depending on what organization is running the event if and only when a driver is attempting an overtake and is more than either 50 or 75% can he dictate the corner (aka weather he wants to hit the apex or take the corner wide) AND the driver ahead has to leave the space a great example is ROS n HAM at Austria 2016. although deemed a racing incident, the overtaking driver (ROS) was 75% past hamilton before the apex Rosberg, although very sleezy attempt, was very much legal, broke very late and purposefully did not hit the apex in an attempt to get better traction to complete the overtake on hamilton. And Hamilton objectively turned in on rosberg acknowledging this creating a racing incident. personally i think that collision was hamiltons fault more so than a racing incident but i don’t have nor care to read the FIA’s bullshit manual.

Tbh I think spec cars would be great for the racing of f1 but take away one of the biggest parts of it which is the engineering side of it. Instead I think they should implement regs where all the teams start with equal cars at the start of the season and then they can develop it as they normally would but it means that the championship battle would be insane and we’d have the engineering aspect of it but whoever wins has the advantage of money to develop their car more for the next season

Does anyone know why Bahrain looks so damn bad on this game. The fog is glitchy and permanent (at night), and there is a weird blurring/ghosting effect that so far I have only noticed at this track. I'm on PC and have gone through every setting in the game but have no luck making it look better.

Looks horrible. Only thing related to it they show being investigated is the jagged halo in the cockpit in night races. I believe that issue is caused by the fog and lighting so hopefully they fix it soon. The game should have never been released in it's current state. Another 3-4 months of development and a longer public beta would have greatly benefitted them. Why can't these game studios man up and just release a game when it is ready instead of trying to meet unrealistic deadlines. The reviews will be so much better and the reputation of the company would be held in higher regard. The lingering issues with force feedback and wheels not working all together is inexcusable for a racing game.
