I hate how they treat small breasts like some kind of terrible affliction that must be hidden or disguised at all costs. Soooo many clothes look amazing on people with small breasts. I've got big boobs, and honestly, trying to find outfits that don't say 'here's my tits, the rest of me will be along in a while' can be an absolute nightmare. Trinny and Susannah might be shocked to learn that we can't all go to work with our tits out.

As a flat chested woman, clothes are not made to fit you flat chested 😂 Anything with any kind of "low" cut assumes you have breasts I have 3 dresses that are slightly see through on top, and the attached "under dress" is so low down on me, my boobs rest above it 😂 If I wore a sexy top, not only would my pancake tits be out, they would legitimately be out, flashing the sunshine! And so would a bunch of ribcage 😂 I wish clothes were just made to fit people!

I remember one day watching an episode of dr oz back in the day and he had 2 women on and the topic was ‘how the wrong breast size can ruin your life’. One woman had a H cup and 2 herniated discs in her back as a result. She was horribly disabled and injured because of the size of her breasts. The other guest was a mom of 2 who finds her a cups embarrassingly small. She was crying about having to put cutlets in her breasts and how she doesn’t want her daughters to know how small her breasts were. She had no physical health complications and was able to breast feed both her babies without issue It was surreal. Dr oz ended up bringing a doctor onto the set who specializes in burn victims I thought maybe he was going to give her a bit of perspective but instead he held her hand and told her he would give her a boob job and release her from this hell.
@celinahatton26532 жыл бұрын
@@dollinterrupted that is a hot fucking mess. One of the advantages of small breasts is in how the fabric can just drape so beautifully through the bodice. They also look fantastic in boob tubes or 'bandeaus'. They also don't have to worry about whether or not their breasts can comfortably be supported in a strapless bra. I'm not the biggest boobed woman out there, not by any stretch, but we don't win prizes for any sized tit. This woman was so attractive, small breasted, athletic body, and SHAMED for it.

And this woman was moving house , and doing day to day tasks .. exactly what does it matter what she was wearing, i don't think there was anything wrong with her outfits. And i've noticed with alot of these so called 'makeover' shows , they seem to always get stylists to cut these women's hair , when they already had naturally nice hair . Ok sometimes it can suit them . But why do they never just shape the hair or curl it or put a toner on , why must they cut the hair off all the time 🙄.

She never even wore bras before and they've just told her that it doesn't look nice and must look different. Her sadness when Susannah wore her dress that she liked was palpable. To then just chop inches off of her hair when she stated how sad it would make her and that she's been growing it out for 3 years was also shocking. You're an amazing mom. I'm very happy for your child that he felt he could tell you this after you told him about Luxeria. It's obvious you either knew or suspected, but for the person going through it it can be very hard to accept it themselves first, before they're even able to tell others (plus, there's always the fear of rejection). A friend of mine from both primary and secondary school came out as trans (male to female) only a few years ago. She's 47 now. Went through the whole married-with-kids because of acceptance issues and fear. Officially changing her name from X to Laura, especially getting a new ID with female on it, was the best day of her life and I couldn't be happier for her (also feel rather honoured I was one of very few people she told about being transgender and her transition). But it hurts my heart it took so long. I knew during puberty something was going on - I thought homosexuality, in which I was half right. She first came out as gay after her divorce - but didn't dare start the discussion, thinking it wasn't my place. Hindsight is 20/20, sigh... Again: so great you took a chance and you'll be able to support your soon-to-be-daughter during everything while they're still young. I wish more parents were so open-minded and loving.

Trinny and Susannah remind me so much of my mom whenever we went shopping and she basically tried to dress me up in everything she found femme and endearing. My closeted transmasc ass was going through the five stages of grief every time she mentioned my wide hips and large bust. Imagine being a black AFAB person with a perfect hourglass shape in the early 2000s where size zero was a must and everything, in Germany at least, was made with the ideal white woman in mind. My mom considered it a form of tough love but in hindsight a lot of it felt like coercion. When I was anorexic in my early 20s she was so happy that I could wear all those pretty femme things. Getting rid of all these clothes will be cathartic once I've found a place to donate them to. I'd rather risk triggering my body dysmorphia through baggy clothes that make me look heavier than I am than squeeze myself into dysphoria hell aka womens trousers ever again just to avoid the snarky comments of a person that is supposed to be supportive and helpful (also certain Testosterone induced changes make said trousers even more uncomfortable). Tough love can eat my packer.

My personal space has been violated too many times in my life and as a result i’m very touch aversive (im also autistic so a lot of touch actually physically hurts) even my family and my husband cant touch without permission because my hackles go up and instinctively react. I wonder if theres something in their contract to put up with these antics, or that gives her the impression that if she agrees to be on the show that she just has to let it happen? The power dynamic is so skewed that it looks and feels horribly cohersive.

Damn. Here I am, just turned 40 last week, and I’m sitting here watching this video wearing…A PEASANT TOP. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 These women are vile.
@kristinc83842 жыл бұрын
The term peasant top sent me back to a very specific time during that era in which I was working at a clothing store called Gadzooks. "Peasant" tops were such a big thing then.

It took me a while to accept it, but I LOVE my small chest. I really do. This episode really made me upset. There is nothing wrong with being a member of the IBTC. Breasts don’t define your beauty, I happily show my “flat chest” off in tight clothing and low necklines.

I'm American, and "tits" is censored on our TV networks. It's strange to hear it tossed around so freely on a show that aired on daytime TV.

This show was so disgusting in so many ways, but I absolutely cannot get past the cameras in the bedrooms. It is so abusive and such an invasion of privacy. Imagine knowing that one of the closest people in your life (someone who lives with you) let them into your house and into your bedroom to set those cameras up. It's such a violation. How could you ever trust them again? It makes me feel so sick. I would love to hear from a participant about their experiences on this show. Great video as always 💜

The woman they tried to put down in this video is gorgeous! I kept thinking how lovely her hair was, and what a beautiful face she had, and they managed to insult every single thing about her! I hope I look that lovely and put together when I'm 40!

I know this isn't Lucy's case but this episode must've been a fucking fun time for someone who's had a double mastectomy and couldn't, for whatever reason, get reconstruction done, which is often the case. These women are categorically demons.

The thing about small breasts is: the one thing I've heard sooo many men say is "I actually like small breasts. It's more about the shape, the nipples and the proportions in regards to the rest of the body" and I fully agree. And at the end of the day it's nothing really important at all. As long as you're not in pain or in physical or mental discomfort, they're there and that's that. Fashion can be changed to make the best of it

I've never commented before. I'm usually a gremlin hiding in the shadows, but I couldn't help thinking throughout this that they went easy on her. They loved the things that she picked. They didn't trash all her clothes. I'm thinking it's because she is thier idea of beautiful. Tall, skinny, blonde, white. Not saying she isn't beautiful but she fits an idea of perfection to them.

They gave her fake breasts to wear and then at the end said that was the best thing they did for her in the whole show. I don't think that's going easy on her at all. It's literally telling her to look her best she needs to change her natural body. I think the lady was complimentary towards them as stylists throughout the show, so they didn't need to drill into her how great they are as she was already saying it for them. She also, obviously had a decent income so was buying high-quality clothing, which Trinny and Susanna also would buy themselves. You saw Susanna desperately wanting to try on the dress the lady had because she clearly liked it for herself and Trinny noticing she was picking up clothing Trinny already owned. So they had some similar taste in clothing to the lady. But overall, the need to give her fake breasts was probably one of the worse things you could do a flat chested woman. When they had to opportunity to actually show her how to feel good and work with her natural body shape. They instead reinforced the idea that to look good she needed to increase her bust size and not just find clothes that suit her better. That's far from being easier on her.

I remember being obsessed with "peasant" tops during this period of time! The "boho" fashion came in only a few years later. Loved that too. Both can be potentially very unhelpful when it comes to Romany and other Travellers though, in terms of romanticism and stereotypes, though. The way we think about some things in society hasn't changed at all, but I am grateful that increased awareness about things like this has grown

Up until 3 weeks ago, I had hair down BELOW my butt. I had needed a haircut for a while, and I knew I'd have to give up a lot of length that wasn't healthy. I THOUGHT the hairdresser and I were on the same page, cutting my hair up to the middle of my back. Then she started cutting, and WAY too much hair fell. I had to kind of disassociate for the rest of the cut. Got my husband to pay, and drove home in a fog. Walked into my bathroom to get an elastic to pull my hair up, felt the STUMP of hair I had left and started sobbing. I know it's just hair, but my hair has been super long most of my life, and now it barely brushes my shoulders. I honestly felt vulnerable and went through the steps of grief because the loss of my crown threw me into a serious depressive episode. Messing with someone's hair can seriously mess with their self esteem and self worth, and is NOT something you should do to an unwilling participant.

The influence of these awful women reached me when I was in middle school through one of my grandparents; I think I was going into 8th grade and wanted to go clothes shopping and she offered to help, but only if she could help pick out the clothes. She'd recently gotten really into What Not to Wear and other similar shows and picked out a bunch of clothes I just... didn't feel comfortable in. Most notably, there was a plum colored top with a peplum; she said it was to hide my belly. I wasn't overweight. I was underweight for a lot of my childhood. This comment gave me body issues into my 20's and I'm sure she doesn't even remember saying it.
