We were out at the Paul Bunyan show today and got to see some awesome forestry equipment. I was at the Wolfe Ridge booth around 12:45 but I missed meeting you guys. Chris from Wolfe ridge did a demonstration for us. I’m 95% sure we are ordering a splitter! Crazy nice product. Thank you for introducing us to Chris. Be safe!

This is the first time I’ve seen the over the shoulder view from behind. That is great angle to see the splitter control levers. I noticed something very cool! On my splitter that I run vertically, I pull down to split. To return the ram hands-free, I have to push the control lever up until it locks. Sometimes it does not lock. It looks like all you have to do to return the ram is let go of the control lever. I really like that. Great camera work! Have fun this week-end.

Question, what do you do with the bulk plastic containers after you remove it from the cage? I would like to see more trail maintenance videos. I'm a volunteer at a Scout Camp in NY state and we have a dirt and gravel road that's about 3 miles long. It's plowed during the winter to get Troops in and out for winter camping. The camp sits on top of a mountain.

Was that Molasses or similar you could put up a drinking place by the feeder. Tread plate to step on and the IBC drains until the deer moves over to the drinking pool. Might have pellets dropped on the tread. Just an idea in dry times.

Mike I know you said the totes filled are around 1600 lbs. Is that a 300 goal tote? I was wondering with a Kubota L2501 if I could do that using 250 gal tote and not fill as full. Since I am 56 I am trying to limit the handling of wood. I love cutting and burning wood. I was wondering if just thrown in tote would work? I have room to sit totes around and cover to season. Then just bring to house when I need wood to burn. I notice you take the containers out what do you do with them or what is the best way to get rid of them?
@jasone95 жыл бұрын
You could do with whatever size tote and just not fill it as full. Make the stack nearest the tractor higher and the other stack lower. The liners can be cut in half diagonally and used to cover the tops of the totes, drill a few holes and zip tie them on.
@DanKlein_15 жыл бұрын
would like to see the wolfe ridge booth. Chris is delivering a splitter on his way back from the show to my brother. Can't wait to see it and try it out when I go visit the following weekend. problem is you don't get to play very long with a wolfe ridge splitter because you quickly run out of wood to split with that beast.
