Today is a special video as I did a cool collaboration with the talented Molly from Molly's Artistry!
We decided to do the Dutch pour - but we wanted to do it differently... so we did it using resin!

For my LOCAL subscribers (Barrie, Innisfil, GTA etc etc)... I have decided to offer acrylic pouring classes at my home in Innisfil. Classes would be on the weekends during the morning hours.

The hair dryer”blow” is one of the prettiest effects there is. My 2nd favorite is the balloon twist. Beautiful job!! ❤️💥

It's really lovely, and very 3-dimensional with the darker edges. You probably have a covered area to keep them clean, but I bought one of those pop-up mesh food covers (like small umbrellas) to put over my pours while they dry to keep dust and my cats' hairs off them. Of course, it doesn't prevent the fingerprints when you pick them up thinking they're dry and poke them to check...!

hahhaha oh Debbie! I have done that before sooo many times and then I kick myself for it!! I have seen those food covers.. they are great... but i have a large dust free zone with lots of shelving and a cover for it... works great :)

Very cool! 🤩 (Just a quick dog hair tip) Brush off the front of your apron before starting. I have 2 very hairy Poms and 1 extra large lab. It's hair city in my Studio/Kitchen. My girls come and watch me pour too. They will anything for a cookie. Being especially cute always works! 🐾🐕

Can you only use that special paint? Or can you use reg.acrylic paint? Can you put it on a canvas ?

yes - i typically use acrylic paint

Do you use regular paint for your base color? And how do you mix your resin with?

Beautiful! Maybe instead of puddles, lines would mean colours wouldn’t get lost? As I said to Deborah, I don’t do this kind of art, but watch a lot, so with resin, being more dense, puddles lose colours? Love your art xxx

Hi Sherin, there was no acrylic paint on this piece... just resin tinted with paste and some pigment powders

Try spray paint. It colors your resin pretty well and it thins it. :) just make sure there's more resin than substance-you-used-to-color your resin.

What did you mix the resin (paint) with to make it pourable? It looks like a thicker paste in the jars.

i didn't mix it with anything... its just resin in the cups with a small amount of pigment paste or pigment powders...

yes it would - but it also might blow the resin around (if it heats up too much)
