For those of you who are wondering why the Korean athlete was penalized so many times - it's because he kept intentionally falling to avoid counterattack, which was favorite tactic of Korean sportsmen back then and rules were changed to penalize it later. More interesting is why they didn't count that perfect head-shot that the Spanish athlete splendidly accomplished. Anyway, the fight is great, both athletes showed superb skills.

oh my god soo true! Its like the NHL in the United States, Penalties left and right! Let the fighters fight and penalize for significant things like low kicks, kicks to the back, excessive grabbing of the hogu, etc. I dont see why Korea was penalized so much.

Man, even as a competitor or coach, I would be pretty pissed. The coach was saying (paraphrasing here), "This kind of match is wrong."

Based on the the score the match would've went into over time.

even if the last Kyong go wasn't given.. based on the score Juan Ramos still won..oh no, i think the coach shouldn't have gone on the mat..it's not the proper way.. (sportsmanship sir) ..as i see it Juan Ramos did a great fight.. he's not as fancy as before.. he gained alot of speed.. we'll gonna see him in Beijing.. by the way did Chu Mu Yen played here..?!

The Korean won, his technique and points scored where sharper than the Spaniard, I thought the Spaniard was a scruffy fighter, the penalties are rediculous and I can see why the coach lost his COOL.

Refs and judges have to stop having such hard ons for Korea and Korean players.

well, unsportsman like conduct for the coach, but I had no idea how the kyung-gos were being called! Heck, at the end, the word, "kyung-go" was at the ref's lips the entire time, even when the match was over, he just called kyung-go instead of stop, when the korean player wasn't even in front of him. That was way uncalled for. Unqualified, underqualified ref anyone?

You're too inexperienced to understand why the coach went out. He was pointing at the officials table because he was angry that they put Korea against Ramos in the first round. This was an attempt to get rid of one good player so that another country would have a chance to medal.
