This was a very good shopping trip. Your husband certainly has an eye for things. You’re lucky to have those sales in your area. If you have too much or don’t know what to do with it, sell it in your shop. Simple. Carol from California

I love your haul videos. You always find interesting things. It is a lot more difficult in the UK as we don't have estate sales. Our thrift shops are called charity shops but they are becoming more and more expensive. Always love to see what you have found 💕

I still have my childhood copy of “One Kitten for Kim”. I found a copy while I was thrifting & hoping to make a childhood journal with it. Loved all the other items you found.

I love your haul videos as you collect some interesting things 😀❤️ I think you should use the hankies as a journal cover definitely as they are beautiful indeed. Love love those horsey cards! My husband loves anything oriental and that book is super cute, a good find.

Such a great haul! Loved everything you picked up. 😊The “JJ” on the vintage brooch stands for the Jonette Jewelry company that produced from 1940-2006.

I tried looking it up and found out you're probably not saying Happy Meal but Happy Mail. Makes more sense. :)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING button lady! My favorite item was the Food Book from Ohio. BUT the wrapping paper was a close second. Adhere it to cardstock and then die cut a shape like a frame OR try lining an envelope (or make an envelope out of it).

Thanks, Michelle! I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving also! I'll try those things with the wrapping paper!

And I love the idea of the tea journal. Did you know that she spends half of the year on Martha's Vineyard??

Coffee dye parchment paper or wax paper then you glue your gift wrap paper together and then you can use them for journal paper

Diane Hubert has a good video on backing wrapping paper to make tags, etc. She also shows a lot of ways to use linens like handkerchiefs.

Hate seeing those price stickers on old ephemera. Maybe using a blow dryer on the sticker for a second or two would help loosen them. You found some nice ephemera there.

I've just started viewing junk journaling videos and have a question about a phrase I've heard several times. Happy Meals?? At first I thought they were referring to actual happy meals from McDonald's, but now I'm guessing not. What exactly is a "Happy Meal" in regards to journaling?
@thepaperturtle2 жыл бұрын
It's Happy Mail! Mail that you receive that makes you happy - as opposed to bills and junk! Although junk mail can make you happy too! In the JJ world it just refers to mail received in swaps or as a RAK (random act of kindness). 😊
