Hi I already commented by to answer your question yes it is okay sometimes to go off budget we only live once just try not to make it a habit because you are saving for purpose. Also don't fill guilty if you do spend something out of your binders, or wallet that is what the money is there for. You are doing a great job saving you got this. 🙂

That's what our "buffer" is for! Moments of exhaustion or weakness, or just treating ourselves! My husband is not a budgeter, nor does he use cash, so our buffer pays for a lot of things that if I were "in charge" I would cringe over. 😊

I definitely understand how you’re feeling about spending the money on the tasty crab legs. You’ve become very disciplined with your spending and so you may feel a little guilty. I cant tell you how many times my sweet tooth will kick in after a long day... week or just because... so I will use the buffer in my personal spending account or sometimes I will tap into a lower priority for something... we are human and it's ok to splurge... as long as those top priorities are covered then I dont see why not... you work for it you deserve those moments from time to time... it happens lol!!! Don't get rid of ycur envelopes... I cut a little snip in the corner of my envelopes and slide that plastic thing off. Can still close like. a zip lock bag, only need to close a little bit to hold the money in.... book lays nicer and flatter. I've also cut the bag just above the little thick section below the zipper and I like that as well, but I lose the option to actually zip it.
