I've been in Tokyo at 5 am many times. Jetlag makes you wake up early and I usually go walk around starting at around 3am and then 5 am as my body adjust throughout the trip. Such good memories...going to 711 or Lawson and getting a snack, then going to the eki (train station) to walk around and ride the elevators... some shop merchants are open, people stumbling out of bars and even some throwing up lol I miss it. I hope Japan opens up by next summer

@@kn2549 I'm from Japan. I grew up in metro-Tokyo area, what we call by Kanto region, and moved to Tokyo for work. I had been there for about 1 year. I got depressed and went back to my home town for recovery from depression.. What you mentioned is correct. The life of non-native-Tokyo-people, especially single persons, regardless Japanese or non-Japanese people, is sooo lonely! It evolves around a stressful job without your family, friends and loved ones..😓😥

This reminds me of a sunrise I saw a few days back. I had to wake up early that morning because I had to finish my homework. And I woke up. I saw a pinkish glow in the sky with light gray coloured clouds, shining slowly, one after the other as the sun was rising. It was so damn beautiful. For a while I was just thinking "Wake up I need to do my homework, just wake up fast". But it was reality. It was so beautiful coz the day before our region had to survive a severe tropical cyclone. But we always have these cyclones so we were prepared. That sunrise is one of the few memories I dont wanna forget.

As I read the comments on Kudasai/ Lofi videos, I see 6 categories they fall into. People are either... -Depressed -Relaxed -Lonely -Studying -Watching a sunset/sunrise somewhere -Philosophers Even if you can't change a thing. Even if you will never see someone again. When you stop, think, and listen. When you realize the life you're living is no life at all. You have already won. Because just seeing the real problem is not half the battle, it is the battle. Life is a journey, not a destination. As long as you are working toward a goal, achieving it doesn't matter. I, like many others, have found meaning in my failures. I used to get up around 4-430 am at my girl's place, go to Matsudo or Abiko stations at around 5:30am take the Keikyu Express Line through Tokyo end up in Yokosuka-chuo around 7am Somehow manage to ride my bike to the Aircraft Carrier and make it to quarters by 8am. Good Times. Didn't sleep much, but this is my jam
