Ahhh I've missed these types of videos 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I would LOVE to see more videos OUTSIDE of your kitchen! You can film videos like that and still not show your children. I do like the kitchen videos but sometimes it gets very repetitive and its constantly the same background. It would be nice if you could switch it up a bit ❤❤❤❤❤ Routine videos or day in the life, outside of the kitchen. Love you!

In regards to your comment about women being "unclean" - I love your perspective shift on it! I am an Orthodox Christian, and after an Orthodox woman gives birth, she stays home for 40 days to bond with her new child. At forty days, she then comes back to church with her new baby and there is a churching ceremony for the child and mother. It is a beautiful tradition stemming from scripture and the life of Christ, but also such a practical time for momma to heal and rest and bond with her baby.

Sarah, thank you SO much for all the vlog style videos you have been doing lately! They are such an inspiration! I love you, Sister, and pray for you and your beautiful family as the LORD leads! PSALM 103 💖💖💖 P.S. And I completely agree with your Bible tip. I carry mine throughout the house with me, leaving it open throughout the day and treasuring every moment I have to let my eyes fall on the Words (and one of my best friends and I were literally JUST talking about those "unclean" passages yesterday and what a sweet gift from the LORD to take it into the New Testament context now: not to where we can't be touched--praise JESUS for His blood!--but as a wise pattern for embracing the importance of REST more as women ❤😄🙌). 🤗📖✨️

Oh gosh I just finished Leviticus Sarah 😅 I learnt as well that when they referred to a man or woman as unclean they were referring to that person being involved with an activity or state which brought about life or death. It referred to a ceremonial state of someone.. not a physical state. So a women who gave birth (obviously involved with something that brought about life), or when a man ejaculates (referring to something which brings about life), or when it refers to eating meat in certain circumstances (referring obviously to death).. This talk of women being unclean always annoyed me too! But God is so good 😊

I just have one question, how do you get your kids to give you some space or not fight with each other when. You’re doing your chores or getting yourself in the morning? Or. Are you just editing those moments out. I am a new homeschool mom and I feel like my kids always want to be in the same room with me or having my attention at all times or when I am able to go to my room without them they start some kind a trouble. Any advice you can give me. Please help this mama out! Ps. I love the idea of leaving your Bible out to go back to it and read it while you’re in the kitchen.
@OnceUponAVeganАй бұрын
I can totally relate to this. If i use the bathroom or step away for a second it seems like the bickering starts. When i involve them in chores then it tends to go more smoothly. I have them make breakfast with me as well. It keeps them busy and i can keep an eye on them better. They are also learning life skills 💖
@Megan-qe6vkАй бұрын
Not sure your kids ages, but I use the analogy of fueling up a car. If I'm out of energy and hungry and tired, I need to fuel up. When I go into another room with my tea, I'll make sure they're all occupied, and then announce, "I need a moment to fuel up!" and my kids understand, mom's doing something to take care of herself. After a while of doing this, the kids notice I come back refreshed and happier, and they like that. It took some initial teaching, reinforcement, and practice, but now it's a habit. That catch phrase "fuel up" applies to getting a snack, hydrating, going for a walk, exercising... the kids understand it's a good thing for me, and it ends up being a good thing for them too! I hope this might help!! Edited to add: if bickering starts, I say from wherever I am part of a verse they've memorized, "do your best to be at peace with everyone!" And then if I need to go in and referee, I do that, but then I remind them I need a moment to refuel, so they need to stay on task and be peaceful with one another. And then I get back to "refueling." I don't let the bickering stop me from taking a moment.
@OnceUponAVeganАй бұрын
@Megan-qe6vk love this! Thank you for sharing on here. We definitely need to fuel up to be able to keep up with our children.

Thanks for sharing such an interesting insight regarding a woman being unclean after childbirth and her menstrual cycle. I would like to read more on that! Could you share where you learned that information?
@karissamartens7997Ай бұрын
To specify further I want to read more on what being unclean in those two specific scenarios meant. As I had never heard that in the childbirth scenario it meant that women weren’t responsible for making meals or working and were just responsible for caring for the newborn.
@abigailsullivan3078Ай бұрын
It’s a traditional Christian practice. I would look into “Churching” or “40 days of rest until baby’s baptism.” Most of the resources with quality info on this will be Catholic (Orthodox and Byzantine) and then there probably are non Christian resources from Jewish sources.

My childhood Pastor's sister was murdered in Texas in the 80s. She was running in the dark in the earlt morning with astro tunes or a walkman with headphones. They were not nearly as noise canceling as headphones today. She couldn't hear the attacker coming up on her. Her killer would simply drive around the country in the middle of the night or early morning looking for opportunities.

I remember when the Lord revealed that law to me a few years ago about women who were unclean and were put out of the camp for a time while in their period of uncleanness. It was basically God’s way of giving women a break because even in Israel women would have been treated as lesser and would have been working their butts off even after child birth
