you'd need to write a post-processor with B and C offsets. check out 5axismaker post on HSM/ Fusion list of posts, reenter your oofsets and hopefully this would do the trick.

Cooool I want one for sure, The price is quite decent considering the build quality looks nice and compared to other 5-axis... I think PocketCNV wants the same price or more for much smaller build area... though to be fair perhaps there are some precision or other things that make it reasonable , I haven’t compared in detail

The picketcnc looks a little more rigid, so I think it would do slightly less poorly on light metals like aluminum.

looks like it would have a hard time getting a good surface finish, if it can at all. aluminum is pretty soft and if you took shallow enough cuts over a long period of time it might have a chance.

That seems unlikely with that gantry stickout. The torque would push it out of position and probably cause bad chatter, could even break the tool.

about 15min for roughing, 40min for finishing at 4m/min. This was a first test we've run with our new g-code generator. You can run machine faster, especially for blue foam. Also it depends on the final stepover, some like it smoother, for some it's not much of a concern. 5axismaker.com/5axis/

Machine looks great. Can I ask, what is the process here? You design 3D model in Rhino and with Grasshopper you create 5-axis g-code? I presume there is no kinematics involved? What controller and motion sw do you use? Do you have to define your machines geometry somewhere in order to generate right g-code? I mean all distances and "limbs" etc.. thank you for your answer.

People who do prototypes in industries such as industrial design, product design, architecture, furniture design greatly benefit from having this huge working volume on their desktop. Not everyone dreams of milling metals.

But if you are interested in additive manufacturing check out Loughborough University research on 5-axis printing on our machines. It’s quite impressive what they do, they managed to print, test and document how 5axis printing improves structural performance of parts.

The artefacts you see on the machined piece are NOT backlash related. The programming for this piece was done on our open grasshopper/rhino full 5axis CAM script during early stages of its development, what you are seeing is a bug in the coding of the finishing pass strategy. We have more videos on our channel that show how this machine performs in a range of different materials like hardwood and corian and what surface finishes it is possible to produce.
