Join us on May 14 and celebrate 10 years of the Walk for Independence, an extraordinary community event that supports the Carroll Center for the Blind's mission of empowering those who are blind or visually impaired to achieve independence and lead a fulfilling life.
This year there are even more ways to participate. Runners can register for a 5K run with chip timing, and Walkers can walk a one-mile route. All routes will take place around the beautiful Mount Ida Campus of UMass Amherst. Stay for a family and guide dog-friendly event and enjoy food, music, accessible games, giveaways, and much more. All the activities offer unique opportunities for both sighted and visually impaired individuals to participate.
