Good day as per nbc 2005 the minimum wind load for roof is 120kg per square meter in Pounds per square foot would be 24.57 psf, your design is 5 psf.

The 5 psf is the roofing material. And for the wind load please refer to NSCP 2015.

Sir, kung 8m ang span, pwede ba ang 2x4x1.5mm na c purlins with 24 inches spacing. Tapos ilang sag rod dapat sa ganyan? 12mm yung deformed bar na gagamitin. Trusses ay double na angle bar na 8m ang distance.

Have you tried computing for the Strength of that Purlin lalo na using that orientation? Way back in the academe, hindi ganyan ang section orientation. One concern to think about your orientation is that the fasteners and the angles are in sustained tension. Also, the application of load to the center of the Section Centroid is off, meaning may added unnecessary eccentricity ka dun sa section.

You can orient the section they way you want as long as you understand the following: moment of inertia Ix, Iy Section Modulus, Sx, Sy, Radius of Gyration , Rx, Ry and the loads at Tangential and Normal. But it might not be the most economical. You don't need to worry about the fasteners and the clip angles because it's much thicker than the purlins. The purlins will tear first. And note that there are sagrods in-between supports.

@@harleyasimpledesigns2806 Hence we agree that your orientation it is not economical. Purlin Tearing on the other hand in my opinion will be less of your problem if your angle clip is directly supporting your purlin, rather than the fastener. Just my two cents.

Pwede mong ipatong yung purlins sa chb. Lagyan mo ng bond beam na may 2-12mm at may stirrups na ang layo ay 200mm sa dulo ng chb.

Sir pwede po magpagawa sa’yo ng plano ng trusses? Kailangan na kasi pong palitan ang bubong namin at gusto po namin i-update yung lumang wood trusses po namin ng steel trusses. Ang size po ng floor area ng lumang bahay po namin ay 8meters x 8meters at 30degrees po ang pitch nya or inclination.

Just for healthy discussion po sir. ung loading nyo po sa truss sa STAAD is wrong.. ung analysis po ng steel truss ay ung load ay nasa joint lng po.. hindi distributed sa top chord or other web member otherwise nagkakaroon sila ng deflection.. then hindi sya downward po kundi perpendicular sa purlins (tributary area).

we assume all joints are pinned.. so web members cannot carry bending moment po, only axial loads. Correct me if i were wrong po sir.

@@CasterbalTV Kung analyze mo ay joint load talaga. Kung designer ka, dapat alam mo kung paano isimplify ang loading. Yung spacing ng truss ay less than 1 meter and ang units ng loadings at kn/m. It's impraktical na joint load ang gagamitin mo since mas maiksi ito sa 1m. Kaya sa NSCP at ASCE hindi ito nakadrawing na joint load instead uniforly disttributed load. Isa pang Tip, You can always convert the purlin joint load to uniform at still get almost the same result. Ibang case kasi ang wind load base sa ASCE 7 at NSCP. Kung familiar ka, pakicheck mo na lang yung orientation ng loads base sa enclosed buildings.

ang design ng purlin ay nakadepende rin sa pitch ng roof. Baka sa layo ng spacing ng rafter baka bumagsak yang rafter. Nakadesign ba yung rafter?
