I love where you tested the boat. It’s by far my favourite place along the NSW coast. The last time I went fishing on the ocean there, my dad and I saw a Marlin jump out of the water as we were heading past the pub on the headland. We would have been barely 200m from the land couldn’t believe what we saw. Crazy to think on the right day you could probably catch a Marlin off the wharf there. Love the boat looks like an absolute beast!!

Yep he sure does, thats for sure.. My 243 was a beast, was such a solid safe boat with high gunnels, incredible stable at rest because of the low centre of gravity, yet to be on a better all round hull, solid AF, but coming in at (towing) 4,250kg fully fueled and gear was getting to be a bit of a mission before I even got it in the water. 😔

nice boat. will stay with my Haines Signature 543SF SC and 640SF CC. i run the 150 PRO XS and the 200 PRO XS, awesome motors. i run the same 3 Dometic systems and totally agree, awesome. i run the latest MK Quests and 4 Humminbird Apex sounders. 2 on each boat. the 543 has twin Raptors(power poles)and both boats are run and powered by Dakota Lithiums. i like steel trailers, so both r custom drive on trailers. they have been treated and coated with Raptor products inside and outside. all towing is done with the latest F150. its taken me many years to sort through the different options in the market place for the 3 types of fishing i do. all barra dams and the Fitzroy River. inner island flats for Tuskies and golden trevally and the outer reef flats of the GBR for Geets and Chinaman.

Fibreglass and Mercury is hardly Australian mate. Aluminium and Suzuki is the way to go.
@rob738511 күн бұрын
@@chippyjohn1 wat are you saying here im struggling to understand your logic?🧐
@chippyjohn111 күн бұрын
@rob7385 Aluminium is far better, and Australian made. Mercury is poisonous to our waterways and fish, as is fibreglass. Suzuki's are great engines and manufactured closer plus last longer and more effecient. The US Australian trade deficit costs every working Australian about $100 a week. When you buy US products you are hurting Australia.

@chippyjohn1 I might potentially agree with you on that aluminium is just as good, but only on one condition, find an ally hull that was built in the mid 60's that is still going as strong as the old Thunder Bird 233 formula's and those old Bertram's are going today... some are pushing 60 +yrs.

Hull is perfect but I ideas for how I want my boat built. High side and storage and seats that you can move to the side of the boat. When fishing on boats you’re always fighting the fish in the boat and running around to play your fish while others are fishing. I have a idea that will limit it to 80 % of not interfering with other fishing. No one has come up with this EVER and I think it’s a game changer. It so simple. From a Aitutaki Cook Islander. I don’t like the end product of this boat. Skin Cancer is a big problem and no protection from the Sun is a big problem and in Australia especially. Your boat is okay
@pennreelfishing11 күн бұрын
No Timber. I have bought in Australia 10 boats and All Aluminium. Aluminium Rust but repair is quick and not expensive and right now I have a Barcrusher 6.7 hardtop and Quintrex 4.6 dory and a Quintrex coastrunner 4.8. I really don’t understand why anyone would put timber in fibreglass unless they want to save money. Quintrex boats are Rubbish and my advice to anyone is not to buy small boats built by them. I’m selling because the hull is like a can of coke very thin. My next boat will be the 5m whitepointer because no Timber and will be my first ever fibreglass boat. From a Aitutaki Cook Islander
