An example of when you would use it is when you are going to say something that sounds metaphorical but you mean it in a literal sense. For example, a joke mr fantastic told the human torch: “You’re on fire! Uh... literally.” On fire is metaphorical for being good, being on a roll. But in this case he is literally on fire. This dumb hoe used literally when it wasn’t metaphorical in any way.
