Are there any songs featuring walking basslines that you'd like to learn? I'm always looking for more ideas!

I follow and support several excellent musical educators on KZbin, but you are the best… especially for beginner or advanced beginner players like me.

James loved your less than 60 seconds explication of 1 4 5 chords in key of A, lots of teachers make it so complicated. As always 👍💫🫠

Neil Young uses a lot of walk-up and walk-downs. How about a My MY Hey Hey lesson or Colter Wall song? Thanks, these are great technique lessons.

It's showing an open A at the end of the progression, but you put your finger on the A string, am I wrong... confused. Thanks

During the lesson he forms the A chord in different ways, depending on what the next chord is (or previous chord was). Most instructors initially teach the fingering for various chords using the widely recognized forms (e. g. "A" formed with 3 fingers grouped between the the 2nd & 3rd frets) so that muscle memory develops as quickly as possible. As your skills increase you will find that you can use modified fingerings for some chords that make it easier and quicker to make the chord transitions smoother and more musical. The open "A" has at least 5 different ways to form the chord. In starting your guitar journey choose the form that is most comfortable for you. Remember, even a master like Chet Atkins started out just like you and I, so Patience, Practice and Perseverance will get you there. Good Luck!

Sorry for your loss. I miss my late dog more than I miss some humans.
