I wouldn't call this Stereotyping, as much as it is Type-casting. It is however imp to understand that most of the actors such as Nawazuddin, Irrfan, Pawan Malhotra, Deepak Dobriyal, Aparshakti Khurana, Akshay Khanna, Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao etc have developed a forte in a particular Genre. Also it is the Market's Demand that influences the casting.

Abhi kuch din pehle main apne college mein actor "Vipin Sharma" se mili thi, to unse maine poocha ki kya Taare Zameen Par mein unke role ke karan logon ne unhe hate kiya kya, to unhone kaha ki ek baar unki ek film ke director ne unse kaha ki he did not know that Vipin ji is polite as uss film ka AD jo unhe janta bhi nahi tha usne unke baare mein ek rumour faila diya ki wo bahut rude hain (because of TZP character) so unhone hume bataya ki it's hard to come out of that image, or isliye unhone child centric film "Dhanak" ki thi to change is image.😁 Waise make a video of cultural stereotypes like as how Bollywood stereotypes Punjabis, South Indians, Bengalis etc.
