As an ex-teacher who worked in secondary schools I know that the teachers have plenty of opportunity to bully and harass students and an absence of a justice system that will hold them accountable. Not just Islamaphobi but in many many ways and the school system needs an upheaval and to bring back accountability. That boy was right in saying the killing of children in not alright and that teacher dared to try and say that he's just repeating what he hear. As CHILDREN, adults should model good speech and character around them and they learn by repeating that.

Jazakallah Khariun, for this video, not many people put light upon this issue. As a current student, honestly I feel like as accommodations to pray within school and to wear our hijab is more of a privilege rather than a right - and can be easily taken away by the teachers/authorities if they deem so. And it has been voiced out that they can easily take away our prayers in school at their whim, subhanallah.. Honestly, the lack of understanding within British culture that there are certain things in Islam we HAVE TO DO, like not missing your prayer and it is the equivalent of doing a major sin but it is also the lack of care for Muslims within all of British society..

It's not hard, do some research, get the homeschooling curriculum books and material, and say bissmillah to get started. You can also join your kids to sports and activity clubs like football, swimming, karate and basketball. You can search Muslim homeschool groups online so that you and your children can keep connected with other likeminded families. Protect your children, don't let them be destroyed by racist schools pushing racist ideas.

Disagree. Homeschooling might shelter your kids but it won't solve the problems in the society. We need to lobby and work to make changes in the system and stop thinking so narrowly. Hiding our own kids won't make the problem go away.
